Can anyone give a genuine list of the pros and cons of both? Be good to get a definitive list for the newbie beginners (ie; me).

Serves the idiot right. Charge him with possesion of stolen goods too? :clapper:

Ahhh but the money is great. I wanna be a greenhorn!! Anyone know why they call them greenhorns? Just out of interest...

They are often stress related but my sister used to get them terribly. She cut out citrus on the advice of some hippy and never got them again! True fact.

I always thought the Parsons Russell (below) was pretty close to the original breed , long legged so able to keep up with the hounds/horses, yet small enough to go to ground. Whereas the (English) Jack Russell is short legged and bred to kill its quarry rather than bay. Either way I think the Parsons russell was a name invented by the american kennel club to allow KC registration for the breed in the early 2000s. Clearly, I have no idea.

I called my JRT Devo. Short for De-evolution, which kind of suits him..... The mrs insists he's named after that 70's new wave band, but she's wrong.

I've got a camo boomerang that looks just like that!

Bournville? I always like a dog called John. Can't beat a proper name like.

My weekly copy of the Angling Times has served me well over the years. Reading and wiping in one handy package. Smashing. -
Were you in a crop circle?  Maybe some natural magnetism? Ley lines? Sorry, I had a cup of green tea earlier, sent me a bit hippy-ish.

Was only joking. I have ordered a trap but only because there's a run at the back of my house. The dog gets enough exercise on my mates farm, mainly running round after butterflies....

Hi all. I just signed up to this forum, looking around it seems like I'll be here a lot! I'm in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorks, hopefully there may be a few locals on here that know of hotspots. I'm interested in ratting and shooting. I have a young JRT that I am looking to introduce to a few little critters as soon as possible. Any advice and tips would be very welcome. I just ordered a rat-trap so he should have a new playmate to practice on in the near future. See you around.
