Hiyah mate,i,ve been for the last four years and its great, you dont have to be a bird enthusiast to enjoy it but be warned it,s highly addictive and you could end up getting a bird after it.Get there early take plenty of grub and a small stove for tea and such as the food and drink prices are a total ripoff.Last year there were some interesting lurcher races on the main ground but i cant say i,ve seen a lot to do with them up there its mostly birds and gundogs. If its any use check out my website and say hello if you see me up there. http://harrishawking.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/

They,re squirrel chaps which i,ve gotta put on my pair to hunt them as they love playing a game with squirrels ( Its called murder ) usually when they catch em they get their feet bitten all to hell but with these they get bitten but it doesn,t damage their feet.Bloody good insurance against vet bills.

This one was tidy size but a few of the others were bloody monsters, strange though that the fenn seems to catch the biggest what wont go in the live trap or take the poison.

Last chance of the season not a bad day though

Yeah its surprising what u can do [bANNED TEXT] a bit of determination and help from your mates.Hope u enjoyed em i,ll paste sum more on when i get time. Yeah got sum better pics of loads of outings this season, got my own pup for next season out of the bitch an dog in the photo,s ,seven months old now he is an a bit of a head case but he,s starting to settle into work well he should be just right to introduce to the birds next season.I,ve also got a red tail on order for august as long as the bird flu dont bugger it up i can honestly say i,m looking forward to next season already.
-
Got em both and i have to say both my sons have started on the .410 its a cooey 3inch magnum hammer which they love and as for accuracy my oldest son,s shot more ducks in flight with it than i have with my twelve bore its a bit underpowered for rabbits but on 35 yards its okay.As for the twenty its a single barrel folding and the recoils a bitch but then the guns a bit on the light side anyway,i love the bloody thing and have dropped some very testing birds and rabbits with it.
-
Hell i,m in the process of finding out as i,m gonna buy my first Red Tail in august as i,ve had four seasons flying a caste of Harrises which i wouldn,t part with for any amount of cash. They,re both awesome hunters together and alone and will take on anything even grey herons. If you,ve got any info about Red Tails or know where i can get any i,d be more than grateful.

Try ebay mate there,s an ebay shop called Buchans Bargains on there nice chap by the name Willie sells all types of watch batteries that will suit all deben collars,i think they,re £1.99 for ten alkaline batteries,i,ll vouch for the quality as i use em in my telemetry twigs on my harris hawks.

Can,t fault terriers by Brian Nuttal i,ve had six generations of em and can,t imagine life without one now although they can be a pain when they bugger off to ground and you can,t find them,my current dog Tazz has got a record of two and a half days to ground in a shale bank and a beating that wouldn,t go amiss in the boxing ring.Bloody good dog to work though an outstanding all rounder.

Hello Ronan Any local falconry clubs in your area would probably be of great help(when you get home that is) but until then try and buy a copy of Emma Ford Falconry Art and Practice or get some one you know to buy one for you and send it to you. This book is a godsend for anyone starting off with articles on all types of falconry, birds, housing, keeping and training an excellent preparation before buying your first bird. If it helps check out my website at http://harrishawking.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/ All my contact details are on there if there,s anything i can help with drop me an e/m
