Saw these pups in the flesh with the dam the other day and i have to say they are a credit to their owner and breeder, totally awesome the real deal anyone buying and working these dogs will not be disappointed. As the ad says historically correct and bred to work these dogs will handle anything thrown at them and more.11/10

Be careful when buying stuff especially swivels make sure its either a good quality stainless steel D ring type or a ball bearing swivel type as there are quite a few ebay sellers who knowingly sell swivels which are not for the purposes of falconry and not up to the job but they label them as such and sell them anyway try Mikes Falconry if buying on ebay he,s one of the good guys and he doesn,t sell rubbish or stuff thats not up to the job. Happy hawking tho we,ve all had to start somewhere.

i know someone who was hit in the face last weekend probably by the same bird Been past this site for twenty years with all the family and its been active and never been bothered maybe its a new pair of birds nesting there and this ones a lot more aggressive than the old female.

Crazy or what,me and my 17 year old son were walking along through our local wood minding our own business when he turns to me and asks am i taking the piss or what.To which i reply I dont have a clue what your on about. You clouted me around the head he says at which time we both look pretty bemused as we see a female Tawny Owl legging it about twenty metres away in front of us.Only turns out she smacked him right across the back of the head and neck with both feet raking him in half a dozen places with cuts about an inch and a half long before buggering off and landing in a tree about 60 metr

Sad day to see Mr Nuttals old stuff isn,t so easy to get hold of anymore i,ve had the old lines for nearly twenty five years and am now down to my last dog who,s twelve and still game as hell, like all the old lines he virtually entered himself at eight months old on foxes like the other five generations i,ve had of his line and regardless of depth, quarry or time underground i havent seen one back down as yet but as some of you have said the newer lines are rather small and not as robust as they used to be.Personally i,ll be sorry to see my last dog go and life wont be the same without him or o

Here.s a pic of me an my mate jamie after a successful day out .I,m the ugly one in the combats on the right so if you see me up the falconry fair then stop me and say hello i dont bite honest but i cant vouch for the wife.Sorry bout the pic but i,ve messed it up again just right click and copy and paste it and you,ll see my ugly mug in all its glory.

Hi guys how many women out there are nutty about bunny bashing with raptors or had their heart stolen by a mild mannered Harris Hawk.My missis has been hooked since the day she clapped eyes on our male harris Gizmo five years ago and damned if the little shit wont fly for anyone else now.Come rain or shine, mud or dry fields she cant deny him anything so she braves it all to take him hunting.
-
Christ whats the middle one a rat.If my harrises caught the likkle un they,d have buggered off with him for a quiet meal.
-
Ha Ha the things we do in the name of falconry and the love of harris hawks.Waded through my local river too many times to count making in to my pair of feathered idiots on everything from a grey heron to ducks.
-
Harrises are damn clever and i swear mine knows what time of day we go hawking thats when she shouts the most as for the male he just sits there totally silent just waiting to go.I,ve heard and seen a hell of a lot of noisy females but not so many males though, must be a woman thing.
-
Guess [bANNED TEXT] you,ve reached the man who makes and sells these chaps on ebay.I developed them because my pair of Harrises got into a bit of bother with squirrels every time i flew them and i got sick of vet bills up to £100 quid each time they got chewed up.I developed these as a cross between an american design and one of my own and believe me they work.I,ve sold about 100 pairs to date with no bad feedback and a shitload of very happy customers.I guarantee the workmanship and quality on them and i,ve never had a pair returned to date or heard off anyone who,s bought and used them that

Sod you mate you should try taking a hit off her Im not holding that thing when I come out with you again! PUSSY

Yep squirrel chaps do work,i know i use them on my harrises coz they get bitten everytime they catch a bushy tailed beasty.I cant stop mine chasing them either so i have to use chaps in squirrel rich areas the only bird i got that doesn,t get bitten is my female redtail Honey but she kills them when she catches them mostly.
-
Anything in a trap that moves either manually or not will usually do the trick check out any of the falconry books or the net you,ll find loads of methods from easy to difficult to catch them.Incidentally your keeper friend seems very tolerant towards this bird eating his partridges not like any in his trade that i know of,i suspect this bird is still alive only to wait for the dubious owner to be found or turn up to have the full might of H.M Constabulary feel said collar and fine him with compo for his naughty birds misdeeds.Ha Ha best of luck anyway, where are you situated anyway?if you were

Nice one mate sounds like your male is just as much a killer as mine, who bred him?Wasn,t Robin Hague by any chance was it.

Great idea mate but is it shark proof as she bites like one.
-
You musta read my mind i,m just trying to suss out where to get one from and what kind to buy though.Any ideas?
-
The way its going my right hand will be one big scar but what the hell thats falconry.

Went out for a skulk about today see if there were any squirrels about in the woods as you can see we found two and Honey slayed them not without a few mishaps getting her off (check out the bleeding thumb). She,s getting better by the day but buggered if she,ll let you near her kill even to put the tail guard on her. She,s a true redtail but i wouldn,t swap her for her weight in gold looks like she,s here to stay dont know how long my hands are gonna last though they,re taking more of a hammering than the squirrels these days i swear the bitch can reach a foot and a half without leaving the kil

[iM G]httphttp://img252.imageshack.us/img252/3678/p10100621ec.jpg' alt='p10100621ec.jpg'> A wicked day out with a hell of a mixed bag .Lots of rabbits,a pheasant and once again my female harris fern found a bloody squirrel which bit her on the foot.Hope fully Jamie thoroughly enjoyed himself seeing as my female fern has taken a real shine to him he seems to be a bit of a lucky sod though as every time he comes hawking with me an my missis we always have a bloody good day.Once again Gizmo our male harris was amazing hitting everything that was put up for him and fern did just as we
