    Have been offered one of these rifles at a very reasonable price but cannot find any sort of reviews/website that gives any information about them. I have been offered the following Stirling 1700 17 HMR with stainless steel barrel and action 3-9x50 simmons scope SAK mod Sling Bag Some ammo All for £150? Im concerned that at that price they must be shit. I was currently saving for a nice CZ. Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance Steven

    My bitch is kept at another property at the moment and i work really odd shifts so how i meant to phrase that was if I personally dont feed her on time it will be my mrs feeding her. Sorry to confuse Steve

    If i can remember correctly i read this in one of my ferreting books i will try and find it and quote it on here i have a funny feeling it was in Jackie drakefords book? It says something along the line of leaving the ferrets one day without food a week is a perfectly natural thing to do as it is good for their digestive systems and also brings them back to their basic natural instinct that they may not be able to hunt and kill each day?     I couldnt agree more there mate. The bitch i have now is my best friend and i have more trust in her than i do in most humans! When hunting we seem to think the same and both know what the other one is thinking. If im hunting with her and she doesnt catch i know she has done everything in her power to ensure she brings something back, if she doesnt at least she gives her all that to me is what makes a good dog.     Too true i just think that some lads think speed is all there is and not a lurcher that can read and determine the games movements.

    Just a quick question really What would your opinion of a good dog be? Mine personally i own a bull grey x saluki grey and she may not be a world beater but she gives 110% each and everytime and that is all i want. I have been out lamping with other local lads with really racey dogs that look like speed machines but my bitch has out ran and out caught alot of them. She is by no means the fastest dog in the world but she is willing to go that extra mile to ensure a catch and this to me is more important than speed alone. Just my honest opinion. Thanks

    I can say now running her at 5 months on the lamp wont do her any good and will result in yet another shit lurcher on the market.
