  2. Am I correct in think that you cannot get a feathered pup from a 1st x saluki greyhound mating? Has anybody had a pup of the above breeding pure saluki father, grew mother? Would it be possible 2 get a feathered pup or do you need salukibon both sides to get feathering
  3. Think biscuit is charlie x blondie. Khan biscuit littet will have been few yrs back now. Just trying to find out a bit about this litter lad I know has just bought a dog and it could be from this litter. Been passed about abit but now has good home

  7. yeah his dog seems good, but i have 2 bitches already and dont want the hassle of seperating dogs and bitches when they are in season. Plus i would prefer a pup, good to watch them grow and develop, hopefully into what you want.
  8. i know people knock these dogs and you either love them or loathe them but i have always wanted a pure bred. I have made various enquires about buying a pup but have recieved varying levels of help. So many people knock others dogs. What stud dogs are out there at the moment? And what lines would you recommend buying from?
  9. i while back i rang an advert in CMW advertising a new saluki stud dog called kaash, i was told it was going to be the next big thing and take over from khan as the saluki of choice. No litters where advertised so i didnt take it any further. Is this dog still around? did it breed any litters? I think the dog was in the bolton area and if i remember the owner had pepsi advertised at stud also
  10. nobody said your not better doing it yourself but you can read aswell. i personally find bloodlines of pure greyhounds, salukis and the coursing crosses very interesting.
  11. ive read a few of his excellent books and always look forward to purchasing the next, i especially enjoy the articles on single handed stayers and the origin of the merlin x eve litter. What i would really love to read would be a book on pure coursing dogs of the last few years how they where bred how they ran etc the various topics/discussions that take part on this forum are good but it would be really interesting to get all this info in one book Who else would read this type of book?
  12. Fairly new to the world of lurchers, but from reading the posts on here it seems when it comes to breeding worker to worker is the way I have owned track dogs in the past and read abit on greyhound breeding and it seems some of the greats of the greyhound world think to much work (racing) can spoil a dogs ability at stud, some success has been had using a full litter brother of good ability over the brother of great ability. does to much work spoil a dog? do they only have so many runs in them? Lurcher breeding apart from the coursing world seems to be a bit " ive got a bitch my mate has

    diet

think it depends on trainer, when i owned track dogs some trainers just stuck to red mills complete feed and switched to oz formula when trying with a dog others fed a meat and veg stew with the dry food. others included raw meat if the dog is working hard just to give it that bit extra Loads of modern supplements to add into the diets also
  14. winning streak finally comes to an end 13 races 12 wins 1 3rd still not bad going

  20. just reading j darcys book and he mentions the 6 bend superstar ballyregan bob was mated to angie to produce caulfields joe. You think any top greyhounds would be open to stud lurchers now? My opnion is alot of the top greyhound owners would not want anything to do with the lurcher world? If you could use any racing greyhound in a breeding program who would it be?

Ive always wanted pup off her and have talked about it previously, only started thinking about it again when couple local lads asked if any planned pups off her . I have stud dog in minded, got good homes for pups sorted, its just dont want to put my bitch at any risk shes been to good of a servant to harm her.
