  1. Aye, don't forget that the prime qualification for breeding ferrets is to be a clueless 'knowall' teenager.
  2. Rocket, radishes, chicory all pretty fast growing, as well as lettuces mentioned above.
  3. Still don't work, sithee by 'eck....
  4. It's a Ducati. Have to 'use' it while it's still running....
  5. Agreed. He managed to combine ability with genuine modesty, a rare talent. RIP

    Mal, you have a PM.
  7. Sounds like a version of the old 'screwdriver to crankcase' trick for identifying unhelpful noises from an engine
  8. If the cap fits.... But my comments weren't aimed at you in this thread. They were aimed at the bigger/better/worst replies the thread generated. And for the record, I've no problem with poor SPG, it's just that the vast majority of that type of post seem to be from people who aren't very good at it. Have your sulk and come back. Edited for poor grammar.....christonabike
  9. your such a moody fecker wilf you need to lighten up ! He isn't and doesn't. Whenever we get threads like this, within 3 posts it degenerates into a competition to see who's the hardest/got the hardest dog/had the worst happen to them. The principal qualifications for entry seem to be not needing to shave much, and not really having full mastery of spelling punctuation and grammar....

You answered my question with a torrent of other questions. When you're ready for a debate, get back to me. Strikes me your ability to debate is about as advanced as your knowledge of genetics. But it matters not, you have your own agenda on this one, don't you?

Absolutely zero. In other words about the same as your knowledge of genetics. And now I've answered your question, here's mine: Do you believe that there is/are gene/s for 'hunting ability? Thanks for the honest answer, It's a great pity you couldn't reply in similar manner.
  12. It was the same in Derbyshire when I was a kid. I didn't go ferreting or nesting, but the ability to roam all over, up on the moors, through the becks tickling trout and going mushrooming more than compensated.

  14. Dosen't werk fur u ten. Lmao! Strictly speaking it did work. 'Dose', as in 'dose of medicine'. The spellchecker didn't know fraggle meant 'does', so to the spellchecker 'dose' was spelt correctly. But you probably knew that...
  15. Nowt wrong with your tactics if you got a bag like that, mate. And a stillwater chub....supposed to be pretty cagy those buggers..... Well done.

  17. So, DEREK CANNING (LLB HONS), did you break the law with regard to a protected species? YES or NO, and no bullshit.

Same with ferrets . Presumably there's a 'hunting gene' in lurchers too...... Cue 'Leeview'
  20. The problems start when someone feels threatened. Usually by being told that something they are doing is not right/ethcal/humane. Then the discussion turns personal. There's also a type that thinks that moderate expertise in one field (no pun intended) makes them experts in all fields. But I reckon the main problem is that some people regard anyone that argues with them as a mortal enemy. For example, I've had arguments with tiercel in the past, but that doesn't mean that I have to comment on everything he posts and try to pick holes in it. Or dislike him as a person. And poor Eng
  21. I was merely answering Mr Bull in the manner in which he posted. Getting into a strop because someone suggests you haven't really attempted to find out about something isn't on. There's no excuse for 'knowing nothing' about ferrets, when there's a wealth of info on here and other sites like Ferret Central. Admittedly there's also a lot of crap spoken, sadly some of it on here too, but a specific question to clear up a point of confusion is rather different to the 'tell me all you know about.......' sort of thing that we get here. That's just idleness on the part of the poster.
