    DVD

I just bought a DVD at a car boot sale it is called Ferreting and Dogging with the Lads from Durham part 3. I pushed myself to watch it all the way through, the only things I learnt from this film is how not to make a video, how not to edit a video and in future only to buy DVDs that have been recommended to me. The DVD is priced at £15 I am only pleased that I only paid 50p for it, about what I think it is worth. God knows how bad 1 and 2 are. All in all I would not recommend this DVD to anyone..

    WARNING

    How many is MINIMAL?
  3. thank feck we dont have to deal with those any more As I have already said " For display and Please note that this trap is for display purposes only as it is illegal to use this type of trap to catch animals anywhere in the UK." All I asked for was for a sensible answer as to what they are worth. Thanks a lot.
  4. Can anyone tell me what this type of trap would sell for. I asked a friend in Canada to send me a trap, just to hang in my shed for display only, anyway he sent me 3 of these and I only want 1 so was going to put the other 2 on that auction site. This is the advert I will use, but I don`t know what reserve to put on. Gin Trap, Leg Hold Trap. This trap is brand new from Canada, it measures 6 inches across the jaws when set (open) it is designed to catch and hold Lynx and Bobcat size animals. It has 2 springs to give it extra power and has a strong 8 inch tethering chain with a swivel attache
  5. I just use a Black & Decker Hot Air Gun; if you are careful just apply heat to the few inches you want to straiten, after a minute or so of GENTLE HEAT just bend it over your knee. Be careful not to scorch the shank, you can put tin foil round it until you get the hang of it. After a few goes you will find it pretty easy.
  6. During the summer while its the quite period I like to make a few walking sticks, usually about 6 or 7 to give away to friends and to some of the farmers where I have permission. Mainly I use Hazel shanks but also Holly and Blackthorne, I cut the shanks 2 Winters back so when I come to use them they have had at least 18 months to dry. what do you think?
  7. I have heard so much about CAPTAIN and SPLODGE but have never seen them, has anyone got any pictures of these dogs that they could put on here?
  8. Theres good and bad dogs no matter what the cross is and you only get out what you put in, so its all in breeding and the training. Ruby is 2 years old, excellent at marking setts and stone walls, works any rough and loves water and jumps for fun. I know theres many better dogs out there but Ruby is the all round dog I want for shooting, ferreting whatever!
  9. I have just about finnished making a Larson trap, could someone tell me "Wheres the best place to get 2 door springs from""
  10. Some oldish pictures, quality not the best.
  11. Ruby has only run in Durham or Yorkshire, She is just about 2years old and loves ferreting, works any type of rough, jumps for fun and is very obedient. Until she was about 10 months she had not even seen a rabbit, and with no other dog to show her how to go on, she had to learn everything herself. Very very happy so far with her progress.
  12. Ruby is just turned 2 years old and stands at 25 inches and she jumps for fun. You are correct about the Saluki but not the Whippet
