if i remember rightly there was a post not so long ago with a method using lateral distances. it worked that the human eye can juge distance from left to right easier than front ot back. i cant find it t the min but was an interesting read. cheers dan

i picked up a nice specimin for cheap! best thing ever it was shootin over the odds when i first got it but ha it brought down and cleaned inside. its a brilliant tool first time i had it out we cleared 62 feral pigeons from a building site(unfortunatley didnt have the camera!) these were all takin between 15 and 35 yards. recently took a squig on a golf course i have permission on and dispatched it without an issue. really good choice of springer!! dan

im on the verge of getting some permission to shoot rats and had 2 plans of attack 1. ive got a battery powered lantern that gives out quite low light i was going to use blended cat food and put the lantern on a small stand just off the ground (so i don't put pellet through it) and sit in wait 2. ive also got a striker with red filter and was going to put a piece of paper with a small hole in it under the filter to make it even dimmer and then just quietly walk around what do u experiencd lads think?? cheers dan

thanks for the replys fellas i thort i should get a bird that had been started off so i coud learn weight managment and flying techniques before i move on to learning how to train a bird. ive been told this bird was taking crow so my target species would have been corvids and seagulls. cheers dan

ive been thinking bout getting into flconry and i think ive learned the basics but i don't know what bird to get i know what everyone is going to say get a harris or a redtail but, everyone has got one and i do understand about how they make good beginer birds, the thig is ive heard of a lugger going for good money, realy well manned and flys like a dream aparently. also i have a good friend that has been flying birds for years who wil help me along the way in anyway i need. just wunderd if anyone flies or has flown one of these birds and your opinions on them. cheers dan

cheers fellas gonna give it a go when i find a decent barrel barrel cash isa bit tight too but was thinkin of teaming it up with a v-mach kit also so hopefully will be a nice lil tool! will keep y'all posted! thanks again dan

ive got a hw80 in .22 but have aways preferred the flatter trajectory and accuracy of .177 so just wounderd would it be a straight forward like for like barrel swop or would any of the internals need to be changed? thanks dan

its just i'm looking to move on mate it gets on my nerves having to break the barrel after every shot theres no doubt i'll have another in my time but for now im after a pcp, willing to take offers if anyone is interested in a brilliant christmas present even if to yourself;) cheers dan

thinking about putting my 8ok up for sale to help fund a pcp just wounderd how much it would go for. specs hw80k silencer(don't know wether its standard or not) rws 4x40 i think without looking +mounts fitted leather sling furniture and barrel have been cammo taped but could be removed easy enough clip on bi-pod shooting at just under 12 with acupells i have dropped numerous winged vermin with her safety works well, will get pics up soon hopefully thanks dan

ive got a 3/4 whippet 1/4 beddy she good on the bunnies but i cant get er out as much as id like but shes ran long ears well pre ban and had a crack at the stuff that bites back but she's never seemed that agressive on them with the other dogs she will run them and have a go at pulling but when theres other dogs on it she will back off?? pre ban obviously dan
