  1. Why bother going back, just do them yourself it take's seconds.
  2. Same as my youngest Brummy, then she has nightmares for days afterwards
  3. Took the kids for a wander around the Birmingham museum and art gallery yesterday seeing as the weather was too wet to do much else.Couldn't believe my eye's when i clocked this,i'm sure there are lots of paintings of pest controllers and countrymen about, but i was surprised to see it in a public gallery.Well done Birmingham city council.
  4. I feed mine raw and they look great on it.Most of the dry "working dog" feeds are very high in protein, and unless you are working your dogs hard they will be bouncing off the walls. If you look at the price of some of the cheaper Greyhound feeds its obvious its full of shit. The cash and carry i use sell most of the greyhound feeds at roundabout a tenner for a 15kg bag,so how much are they buying it in for?I'll keep feeding mine raw,at least i know what there eating.
  5. Tell you what you may laugh at this pic,but my old neighbours looked very similar, just not quite so classy.
  6. Looks the business mate, well done.Perhaps Ian or someone else could look into getting some printed, and sell them for a small profit with the proceeds going to the site and/or a good cause.I'd certainly buy a couple.
  7. Smudger,my dogs have been attacked on a couple of occasions. My Beddyxwhippet was only a pup when she was grabbed around the middle by some chavs staffy,in a completely unprovoked attack. The staffy had no lead or collar and just ran across the road and fired into her.My wife and two young daughters were screaming and crying and my youngest was extremely traumatised and had nightmares for weeks afterwards.Had i not been with them it could have been much worse im sure.I almost beat the staffy to death, and had my kids not been begging me to stop i would have. The pup has never been the same since t
  8. I use a plain 1inch nylon slip,i remove the steel ring from one end and put in a loop .65p from my local cash and carry.
  9. My 1st cross beddyxwhippet,18 months old.
  10. Mine get walked 3-5 miles everyday, but when you take into account that they will flush and chase the odd bunny and generally run about like headless chickens, they'll be covering 2 or 3 times the distance i walk. Id have to drive 5 miles to find a quiet road so running them behind a motor is out of the question.
  11. I don't use flea treatments on my dogs unless i am sure they are infested, and even though my dogs are fed a raw diet i only worm them once every 12 weeks. The less chemicals your dog is subject to the better as far as i'm concerned.
  12. Golf trolley batteries come in all shapes and sizes, from 16ah to 40ah and cost less than half the price of deben.
  13. I use a sl170 (striker) an alternate between a 75w and 100w vf bulb.
  14. I own the sister to Archiekales bitch.Mine's a fantastic ferreting dog and hopefully proove herself on the lamp this coming season.
  15. Heres a couple BC not great but thought id put them up just in case they were of any use.
  16. The jobs a lot easier Bill if you know an old dear with an equally old cat, especially one that simply likes to curl up in front of the fire...an old cat like this because it's perfectly chilled is not antagonistic to a dog and this allows a margin for the handler of the dog. A dog introduced to a younger cat on it's own turf is a different cup of tea entirely. I agree mate but on previous trips to the mother in laws to try the same technique,as soon as the cat moves at any speed the dogs go nuts. Our eldest terrier is fine around cats, but if one ran across in front of him he'd nail it i
  17. Congratulations hope mother and baby are well.
  18. I converted a bumbag to carry two 7ah batteries that are parallel wired to give 14ah and spread weight. Its not too bad but still rattles about a bit.A small tightly strapped rucksack is another option which is probably the most comfortable of all.
  19. Best wormer on the market is Milbemax,as far as i know its only available on Prescription.
  20. Spot on Stabs,as with all kinds of working dogs its very subjective and "Horse's for Course's"

Like them or not the Chinese can certainly put on a show.I'm here watching the opening ceremony and to be quite honest,it's f*cking amazing so far.
  22. Mine get JWB complete ferret in the summer and a mixture of dry and raw in the winter, reason's are simple when they carry raw meat into there bedding in summer there attracting flys and allsorts which is less of a problem in winter, also because i dont shoot or work the dogs in summer i have very little access to fresh rabbit unless a mate drops a few in.My reasons have nothing to do with laziness or lack of concern for my ferrets welfare, its purely down to what i feel is best for them at the time.My dogs are fed a completely raw diet and never see any kibble or tinned food,so feeding the ferr
  23. My dogs are broken to livestock but not cats, reason is simple i dont have a cat.How exactly do you break a dog to cats if you dont own a cat? I have a problem now with my neighbours kitten climbing into my garden, but there is little i can do to change my dogs views on felines. As for dogs causing problems with farm cats, well i have been lamping and ratting at a dairy farm that has a large population of feral cats for twenty years, and i've never encountered a problem,as soon as the dogs are let out the cats vanish.I'd love my dogs to be steady around cats, but its really not that simple a task if
