  5. http://www.ayrstalk.co.uk/ This is where I did mine. I did the weekend distance learning option with a revision day on the Saturday and assessments on the Sunday as this reduced the financial and time commitments. Chris Dalton, the owner, is a good guy
  6. It doesn't make him a better stalker, but it proves that that he has at least the basic knowledge of the subject and has proven that he can shoot straight. Where as the other guy has proven nothing to no-one so why should any one just take his word for it . Besides he might have been doing it all wrong all these years If he is so good and has so much knowledge then he has nothing to fear from the test.(apart from loosing a few quid)
  7. Finally managed to find an hour today to go and zero my BRAND NEW Swarovski 8 x 56. Had 2 days stalking roe does arranged for tomorrow & Monday so really looking forward to trying out and getting familiar with the new set up. Anyway long story short settling down to take 6th shot and blow me theres a big dark line running diagonally across the reticule. Looking through the objective lens I think I can see what looks like a disk or lens that seems to have become detatched. Recently in another forum someone made the observation (after I had purchased the scope) that Swarovski scopes

  12. Just remembered why I dont come on here much. Far too many sanctimonious know it alls. We all kill. period!!! Why is it any different because it is so young? As long as there is no undue suffering or any illegal activities then we should leave it to the persons own conscience. If I were offered stalking where this had to happen then I would just get on with it.

  18. Can any one help me with question regarding the season in a bitch that has whelped a litter. If she had been on a regular 6 monthly cycle prior to litter will she be due another season 6 months from date of whelping or 6 months from mating? Speaking generally of course as I know these things are far from set in stone. Thanks
  19. Not really much point to be honest, its now out of date, doesnt include the new sections of the dsc. Much better just getting the deer stalkers cert manual. latest edition is feb 2008 i think. Is the manual available without signing up to the DSC1 course. If so you you mind recommending an online source? Thanks Available here - http://www.bds.org.uk/BOOKD19
