    The mother is a lot stronger built, if you do a search you'll find pics and topics on her, speed maybe not up there with the best, but definetly no slouch, but they do stay, in the right hands they could do a really good job for someone, I don't pretend to be the "right hands" lol, but never seen a dog so agile and not afraid to go up a gear when hitting heavy cover or rocky out crops

    They're from Scotland mate, wasn't a ideal mating mother to son, mother full tasi, son half tasi half saluki,i would say they're more suited for rougher going, rather than big open fields, but can still do a job,

    masive influx of refugees crossing the syrian /turkish borders .southern turkey is generally a poor region anyway , , that's what I was thinking, wouldn't go over there , a white face you loose your feckin head with them scum , safer here at moment just about .     She's doing great, I don't pretend to be a brilliant dog man, and I properly haven't done her justice, but she's done everything I pointed her at, loves both fur and feather, as she's been beating with me for the season, I had my issues with her recall, but that's a lot better now, her retrieve still a bit of a problem, but getting there. I'd have another in a shot.

    As a sheep farmer, I would hope the dog owner would do the responsible thing, and see the farmer and compensate him for the loss of the sheep ! Unfortunetly doesn't happen very often!

    Just come back in from a quick look out with the lamp, Took my 10 year old son for his first lamping session of the season. Good night for it with a howling wind and lashing with rain. My dog ran well helped with the favourable condition. Ended up with a quick fire 6, before the conditions got to me lad, So cut the night short and headed back home for a change of clothes and to rest his tired legs. All in all just out for less than a hour

    Well conditions were good, as i made my way up to my land, i had with my young saluki cross, I was hoping to give her a good little work out, as she needs brings on to get her fully fit. Arrived just after 8 and after a short talk with the farmer, off i set. First field full off long ears nine in total, wasnt going to touch these tonight but couldnt help my self, so i picked one out, and with one shot and a good retrieve, the bag had its first victim, A short walk through a boundary wood brings me on to a stone dry wall running between the moorland and grass fields with limited numbers

    I believe a dog can be shot if it is attacking any animals or livestock on a farm, or if it is a danger to people. But without knowing the full story, it's hard to tell who was right. You say it ran across the burn. If i was on my farm and a strange dog appeared from nowhere starting fighting with my dog, and you couldn't see the owner, and i tried to seperate them and it snapped or went for me, well sorry it would get both barrels end of story. Each story has two side, don't start a witch hunt with out the full story

    I love these threads, But am i right in thinking no one has actually slated kizzy/pharoh/ khan lines everyone seems to agree they are some, if not the best, lines in europe maybe even the world. The problem is that the gene pool is so small and getting smaller, your much more likely to get problems coming through, that have been mentioned. It obviously ISN'T a big problem at the moment, with only very few isolated cases, but the protential for it to explode in say 3 or 4 generations must be taken seriously.     interesting And the meat is prefectly ok to eat, although its not the best time to be stocking up your freezers as most rabbits are in poor condition due the rescent weeks of bad weather yis smoggy
