    The beer tent is ALWAYS well stocked for this show, weather forecast is giving it absolutely perfect............................ If you want a good day out gents, and you fancy your chances with your dogs.get up there and have a go...you wont be dissapointed i can almost guarantee you that much.     go to ebay, type in animal antibiotics, terramycin eye ointmet from turkey, dont be put off by the location, i sent for some twice and they both came within a week or so no probs, good antibiotics for the eyes. every working dog man should have some in the first aid box imo b

    f****n disgracefull.............................. our service personnell need to know that they are appreceated and respected for what they do for us, especially where they are serving..............................on the home front, that should be a no brainer................our govt and the mod need to address this debarcle and restore the feel good factor for the british armed forces...that squaddie is 100% correct in his comment. If his name was mohammed f****n abdullah.f**k all would be said.

    all welcome to the welsh lake district................................ not the biggest show in the world, but the quality of dogs there every year would easily rival and put in the shade shows many times bigger. If you have quality dogs to show, and they are looking well, bring them along.............you'll be in good company. Phone the sectretary for any further information. Enjoy the day B

    reg boucher was from down the road from me, a real gent, proper dog man, really good dogs, sadly no longer with us, you'll be doing well to find his breeding nowadays mate. last two dogs he had i know of were flick and holly. He was a woodsman most of his working life, proper gent. best of luck with your quest.

    cheers boys, seems like the £18 per p.o.l wasnt as far off as i thought, but if they are that price, AND difficult to source, i can see some fertile eggs heading this way and the incubator getting a dusting off lol.

    Wheres the best place to get some from ??, and whats the going rate these days??. Priced some in the smallholders fare on the weekend, £18 each !!!. Is that the going rate these days?, i may have to get the old brinsea out of retirement if thats the case lol. Thanks in advance

    rule of thumb mate, one handfull per 2 birds, get them used to coming in to a whistle and a shake of the tim as youngsters, and they'll remember it as older birds. in the off season, i used to buy some peanuts, the monkey nut type ones, no salt or additives etc, strt giving them as a little treat, once they get a taste for them they will overcome any fears of you for them, given when moulting especially, the high oil comtent aids greatly in feather quality as the new ones come thru. I envy you mate, i miss my birds amd racing them.

    humidity i'd say mate, eggs need the humidity to be very high for the last few days prior to hatching. Although there is some phenomina called "dead in shell" i think its called, but i'd put my money on humidity tbh, needs to be at least 75 % if my memory serves me right.

    that man with the goatee beard and pork pie hat on i'm sure i know, with the lurcher, if its K O' he works his dogs, and is also a good judge himself, i have judged his dogs myself, good quality stuff, If its the same man.

    he's on here fay, drop him a pm, he'll make you any sort you want, with any flag on it, he'll even make you a corsset or a truss if you pop to his to be measured up . You WILL NOT beat his stuff for quality, strength, longevity etc. And a good fella to deal with ( unless you f**k him about ) You'll never want a replacement collar for sure. B
