  1. personnally, i use the stuff advertised in EDRD mag, cant remember its name now, but it does e coli and a myriad of other deseases / lurgy's, its a more modern equivelant i guess, cant bloody remember what its calle d now..............Ultrapet A32 animal disinfectant, thats the stuff.
  2. Penny i think the old ones used to contain malathion or similar???, no good for ferrets either etc, but i had been dipping my ferrets etc in duramitex for donkeys years before i read that myself, so i guess you pay your money and you take your choice. I know lots of boys who use battles with the dogs , i dont see the point in rinsing it off myself, defeats the whole object i'd have thought, let it dry yes, but not rinse it.
  3. If its crap mind................................. dont blame me :D . You wont be dissapointed, it is good stuff, genuinely.
  4. its not a flea or mite treatment fay, its an antibacterial skin wash, it will act as some sort of shampoo as it lathers up well, it may even assist in a mild skin condition, but it doesnt kill any mechanical dandruff. Try it, may well improve the cleanliness of the coat, if the dog has a poor coat, may well be worth looking at whats causing the poor coat as opposed to trying to mask it??? if you get my drifft ??? Regards B
  5. smells lovely, jeyes fluid smell, a few "glugs" to a bucketfull normally suffice . Check the dilution rates on the tin mate, and just check a small area first to see if it stains (if its a drive or similar) used to use it a lot in the kennells, no adverse reactions from dogs or concrete, good practice is to let it dry before you put the dogs back in, but not many do in all honesty Its good stuff, smells clean.
  6. :D Apache gunship came over the hedge , still chuckiling here , that got the doubters on that thread told. pmsl
  7. Now every now and again you see a piece of taxidermy that catches your eye on ebay, not often granted, but i was browsing and came accross this one. I think its a very natural looking pose, a very good piece, What do you guys think ?? By the way, before any smart arse says anything...... its not mine .http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Taxidermy-Dog-Fox-Mask-/111174015522?pt=UK_Collectables_AnimalCollectables_SM&hash=item19e27cda22 B
  8. Now thats what galv mesh panles should look like, f**k all is getting through them unless its via the gate ! Fair price as well.
  9. yes fay, its excellent stuff, and also an antibacterial wash, any wounds etc, wash it out with hibiscrub, very good stuff. Vets use it all the time as a pre operative wash, so it must be fit for purpose. I have used it for a long time now when needed, good stuff. added to say, follow the dilution rates and instructions on the side of the bottle. Check out ebay for hibiscrub, can get it cheap there if its an auction bottle and nobody wants it. B
  10. nice pups chief, should make good all rounders. In my humble opinion, the bull greyhound x collie greyhound is one of the most versatile crosses out there, and the kelpie is an australian equivelant to our collies. Good luck with it.
  11. but big boiler stoves sometimes need choked back to stop them boiling the whole system Rake aboot, have you thought of running a couple of rads off it as well ?? with a pipe stat on to kck the pump on when it reaches a pre set temperature ? thats what i have on mine, always a tank of hot water here and when it hits 70 degrees in the pipe leading to the tank, the pump kicks in and sends the hot water from the back boiler around the system till it has cooled down a bit. Works a treat.
  12. correct chief, and also , they go through wood like hell in the night. Mine is a stovax 9kw with a fitted back boiler, i find get the heat up, then top her up and shut the vents at the bottom, because of the airwash system that keeps the glass clean, its sufficient to feed it enough air to function just right. Come the end of the week when the temperature is meant to nose dive, these little miracles come into their own lol
  13. yes it would mate, 20kw !!!!! f**k me, thats a belter. If it is the solution, fitting an air brick / vent isnt a major prob by any means, and it would let your stove breathe a bit easier. But i would certainly do the seals etc whilst your at the job, improve efficiency no end.

go to the store shop on here chief, meindle dovre extreme, very good waterproof boot.
  15. get the cracks welde, get the rope seals replaced ( piece of piss and cheap, ebay, stoveshop uk or something like that), and one thing that you havent mentioned, get the feckin chimney swept ffs. The sootbox is normall only called that as an access point so you can remove your excess soot and sweep the chimney. As a very cheap alternative as well as all the others, get a stainless steel flue liner from the back of your stove ( or top depending on situation) and run a single length to the outlet. You do all of these and it#ll draw like a port talbot blast furnace, but make sure you weld all the
  16. mate, i have done and still do, walk in these all day, following hounds or out for a nights lamping. Dont be put off by the clumpy looking design of them, they have toecaps, but are suprisingly light and comfortable for what they are, and the tread pattern and density will outlast and out grip any other wellie i have ever used. Just mt experience of this wellie, not everyones cup of tea perhaps, but they suit me fine. Hope it helps B
  17. Dunlop purofort, very warm wellies, with mega tread on them.. last you for years, have a look on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dunlop-Purofort-Thermo-Safety-Wellies-Welly-Wellington-Boots-Insulated-5-12-/160791034834?pt=UK_BOI_ProtectiveGear_RL&var=460068458475&hash=item256fe47bd2
  18. well chid, you'll save a packet on buying baby grows.......................... Maurice will fit straight into your boiler suits.... may have to lengthen the leg a bit though
  19. The Oooooompah looompah dynasty lives on giggle
  20. Congrats chid on the birth of your baby boy, good job mate, now go and get the snip ffs
  21. sure they called them crofters boots, had two pairs years ago, one nailed, one commando rubber sole, very comfy and lighter than the fell boots.
  22. told ya ! Yes, again in two weeks.
  23. had one myself for many years, in green, good bit of kit.
  24. if its 9/12 weeks, a quarter of a tab should be fine, liquids are generally used, especially in terrier pups, when the first couple of wormings are done, just because of the tiny mouths. 1 tab is 10kg, 1/4 is 2.5kg, jus give it a shave below a quarter mate to be on the safe side, in two weeks you can give it the full quarter i'd have thought. B
  25. drontal plus will sort out your internal parasites, and eggs i believe. 1 tab per 10 kg bodyweight. your pup should have been done at 10 days old and every 2 weeks thereafter until 12 weels old, then every 3 months . if its shit one out, theres more inside. Cheers
