Beaufort has a nice pitch mate. I have a banded keats beaufort style and it sings a lovely tone ( when someone competent blows it ) The Barclay tends to be a lower tone, just as effective none the less. Thats a fair price, didnt know bellman did them........... mine was a hell of a lot more than that f****r lol.

The couple I replaced years ago had fuses in the male end, but folk been saying on here that they don't, maybe the better versions I bought to replace the ones that come with lamps had fuses but the actual lamp ones don't.. open it and see lol What size fuse was it hot meat?? do you remember ??
-
Quick question, is there an inline fuse inside the fag lighter end of a striker lamp??. similar to above, i always hardwired my striker to the old battery, cut the end off and threw it away, now i have a lithium, would it be best to use an inline fuse? i dont really want to cut the female cigarette lighter bit off in case the batt goes tits up and i need to send it back under warranty. Cheers B PS Used them orange strimmer connectors before, sturdy and waterproof, never pull apart

if you take one at the risk of offending them, you dont deserve to have the pup. Tell them the truth as has been stated, sorry mate, not what i'm looking for. What you should be feeling when you see a litter of pups that your about to choose one from is "ohhhhhh, now then, how many can i have" , then you narrow it down to your final choice. If the litter and conditions dont tick all the boxes friend, polightly decline and get from there. You can decline without being rude or twatish about it.

All constructive comments gents, all read with interest, thanks for taking the time to post. B -
as we all know mate, it is only legal to use two hounds at present to flush foxes to guns, that is the law. So i am referring to that, but two hard hunting determined hounds will find and flush to the waiting guns better than two who dont give a f**k. Fox Hunting as we knew it is now banned, and has been for a number of years, fox control using hounds done in compliance with the new law isnt, you work out which you think i'm referring to

A lot, if not most of the small / footmounted packs are self funding. Mostly by the boys who do the hunting and terrierwork and the myriad of other tasks that go on behind the scenes that most people dont see, (and often are blissfully unaware of) . The Farmers Hunt packs are supported by donations from local farmers and supporters. These smaller packs are judged on performance alone, they must control foxes in an efficient manner, to do that you need good hounds, good discipline in the pack and a good huntsman at the helm. Bullshit and waffle wont kill foxes, when the hounds a

mostly fallow, odd roe, but you never know if a red happend to be on the patch. A lot of boys use .243, i'm not a massive fan of the 270 tbh, to much bang and effort for average results, neither a here nor there sort of calibre. I have had a 6.5 x 55 suggested as an excellent rifle / calibre, accurate, limited recoil, and not expensive ammo. Just doing my homework i guess before i make my decisions. B -

thing is rio, i figure if i get one calibre for the both jobs, i would only need one lot of ammo AS WELL etc, and may even look into getting into loading my own then as well. My .222 has been well used over the years and i was toying with changing it for a new one anyhow, and i dont use the .308 anywhere near as much as i used to, so a compromise would be a brand new, different calibre rifle, with scope and sound mod on it. Just interested in other peoples opinions and experiences, thanks for your reply. Regards B -
I presently have .308 and a .222 as well as my .22 rimfire on ticket. I intend handing in the .222 and .308 and getting one calibre to cover both aspects, .222 for fox sized varmints and the .308 for deer. Sensible question now, that i'd like genuine sensible answers for please, what calibre would you suggest the best choice to replace the two mentioned above, what reasons, and what is your experience with that calibre, for and against, price of ammo etc. A make, model etc that you may have found exceptionall or at least worthy of a mention would also be appreceated. Many Thanks in

the jaht jakt are quite a tough suede sord of material mate, havent ripped mine yet, but yet quite supple to the touch, quiet, ideal for stalking or such like.

"Hancock produces working dogs. Fact. Does the fact that the parents are not tested really matter? " The amount of pups he breeds in a year you will get some good, some decent and some shite, guaranteed. the average working dog man may only ever breed one litter, or possibly two in their lifetime to continue a line on or something. So in reply to the earlier comment about breeding from proven workers, i would say yes its vital to breed from well proven dogs given the much smaller scale we are likely ( if ever) to breed, so it will increase your chances, tilt the scales a

Yes mate, plenty of room in them i found, they will ask you your height and weight normally before despatch. They are breathable, but also have a full length zip running from armpit to cuff under the sleeve, if your getting warm, just unjip and you'll feel like wearing a bodywarmer only.
