Hi, what you're describing can happen if you are holding the gun on a slight angle, maybe a scope mounted level would help.

in my fn12 lighthunter field target trophy were far better than acupell on power and accuracy, but the last tin of accupell seemed much better, cleaner and of better quality although still in the same crappy tin.

Have you considered the internals of the gun may have dried up with such a long period of disuse, a service may be in order, i know they state a gasram requires no maintainance but the rest of the gun does, ( its's still a springer at base level) and rubber seals and such deteriorate over time especially during long periods of disuse when they can simply dry out or worse rust.

yep i agree skinning is the only sure way to find out, but if the skull was smashed chances are the skin just closed over and covered the wound, why worry where ever the shot entered it did the trick

Hi i use a 3 D cell Maglite with a 5 watt led bulb and using battery adapters it is powered by 3x 3000 mah AA batteries. In use it far outperforms the logun lamp both in brightness distance and quality of light, spare batteries can easily be carried in your pocket and only take about 3 hours a ste to charge. I can easily spot rabbits out to 100+ yards and on darker nights i use filters i made from acetate and glass paints. I have been using it for over a year now and i'm very happy with it. Jay.
