    Creosote

All, Just found the answer to my own question on the HSE website, looks like it was banned in 2003!! Quote from the HSE "This means that, as of 30 April 2003, retailers are no longer able to sell creosote to the general public, and as of 30 June 2003, the general public are no longer able to use wood preservatives that contain creosote/coal tar creosote. Where retailers still have stocks of amateur use creosote products after 30 April, they should contact their supplier in the first instance, or their local waste regulatory authority. If members of the public have creosote after th

    Creosote

Just need a bit of help. Now I know you can no longer buy creosote unless you are a farmer or contractor and buy gallons of the stuff. But my question is, are you still able to use it on domestic fencing, if you are lucky enough to have some knocking around. I.e. it's not illegal or anything? Thanks Ade
  6. Oh mate, sorry! The slips were hanging up off the roof rail of my Discovery I think? That f*****g pig roast! No wonder my motor was covered in fat! Adbirdy, Not being funny, but if that was a busy day then it must normally be very quiet. That was a fantastic location, and very well run show, that could easily draw bigger crowds, I'm sure it will next year. have to agree ss..we thought that was the worst attendance we d seen for years Oh dear, wonder why the Master thought it was such a good turnout then?? Ade
  7. Had an e mail from one of the Masters and he reckoned it could have been a record attendance for the Open Day this year, so thanks to everyone for their support. My old fella reckons the bloke with the blue eyebrows used to do a bit with the terriers back in the day. (Before the blue eyebrows hopefully, gives you terriermen a bad name otherwise!) Ade
  8. Very good write up enjoyed that one FD Ade
  9. All, Just a couple of pics of my cocker pup, he is 13 weeks old now and I am really pleased with him, he comes well to the whistle, will sit on command and to a hand signal and won't stop carrying things around so hopefully retrieving shouldn't be too much of a bother!! Ade
  10. All, Went out yesterday for a few hours on the rape stubble with my brother and the two boys. We managed 20 but lost 2, one in the wood and one in standing wheat. A good day out and both the lads enjoyed themselves, the youngest has never been before and seemed to enjoy it. (Not sure about a yellow T shirt for cammo but there you go!) Ade
  11. Great read Martin, glad you are getting out and about again now, even if you are not allowed to lift anything!! Ade

  18. Really good result mate, sounds like she did you proud in the scurry. Ade
  19. Old fashioned!!! There isn't alot new in dog training !!! That may have come across wrongly, I meant the style of writing is slightly old fashioned. Even a complete novice like me realises that nothing much changes in dog training!! As I said though it seems like a really good book containing really good advice and would recommend it to others. Ade
  20. Hi All, Bit of an update Got myself a bit of a bargain off evil bay, 'Training Spaniels' by Joe Irving seems a bit old fashioned but still very good common sense training advice indeed. I paid £6 including post for it and saw it at the Welsh Game Fair last week for £17!!! Ade
  21. Just ordered mine, no doubt it will be passed around a few other family members as well!! A tenner also seems like good value to me. Looking forward to receiving it. Ade
  22. Thanks very much for all of the replies. Given me a few places to go and have a nose. Ade
  23. Good write up, sounds like a great evening out!! Ade
