Yes I had a look at fourteen acre and the only springs I could see on there are for Larsen mates and are almost twice the length of my ones on the squirrel cage. Might have a look at albi traps as well.

Hi All, Had a squirrel cage trap for a while now had a lot of success with it but the springs now seem to be a bit slack. Do I cut the springs a bit shorter or does anyone know where I can get some replacements? Thanks for any help Ade

any one got any of the above and if so what are they like. They are on offer at John Norris and need a new pair of gaiters. All opinions welcome. Ade

Can anyone help me out with the date of this pleas as I fancy going and having a look. Thanks in advance Ade

No need to specify what or where you are going to shoot with shotguns so there would be no requirement to change your licence at all. Ade

Thanks both for the good wishes, my lad cant wait now. Not too long at all now. Ade

Rspb Killing Merlins?

Seen folks moan about they springwatch program but this season there has been some good bits what with rooks and magpies raiding a rabbit nest to the egg eating badgers sure it's stuff we already know about but it lays proof at the door of our doubters. Have to agree, some of the stuff on Springwatch has no doubt come as a nasty shock to the bunny huggers! Ade -
I hadnt noticed your double post, that was me removing one of mine (oopppss). Phew 5 and half hours , you had better take plenty to do on the journey! Not that long to go now really either, just get the end of the school year out of the way and it will be here. Atb Ade

Thats good advice, I have been having a look but only come up with the brickies hammers so far, hence why I thought a modded one might be easiest and not to mention cheapest! Atb Ade

Hi All, After a bit of help / info, my lad is after a trapping hammer but after having a look around they seem a bit on the steep side to buy! I wondered what you lads use. I seem to remember some talk of modified brickies hammers and wondered if anyone had some pics of theirs or tips for how to turn a brickies hammer into a useful trapping hammer. Thanks in advance for any help Ade

Just a quick post to let you know about the week my 14 year old lad has had. On Monday , he had the postponed FEO interview for his shotgun certificate which went really well and the certificate dropped on to the doormat this morning (excellent service from the Staffordshire force) Also on Friday evening I received an e mail telling me he had been successful in the competition for a weekend at Newton Rigg college in July, for a 2 day gamekeeping experience covering a wide variety of subject's to do with the job. All in all a very good week, just got to keep his feet on the ground u

Really great offer, my guess is 288 Ade

Exactly what I do, and when they wear out / fall apart just do the same again. Thy arent that difficult to get hold of you can use pigeon wings if you havent saved any pheasant / partridge ones from the season. Ade

Have to agree my Mrs has a cocker with a docked tail but it was left slightly long (not a very good job by the vet) and even that gets split on the end, so I would have thought a dog with a full tail would have been pouring blood in thick cover! Ade
-
Unfortunately I didnt catch his name, but enjoyed myself and will try to get to some other days this season. Ade

Been out with the Dove Valley today, definitely a fella that hunts them or a very ugly girl! Good day out but not much about unfortunately, still it beats staying at home, nice steady day along the river bank. Ade

Apologies yes it is but still a good deal!! Ade

Thanks for the tip thats where I had seen them thought it was a good price and a 10% discount for being a member of the national gamekeepers organisation. Just want to make sure I order the right size. Ade

Hi all, What is the sizing like do they run true or do you need to go up a size? Ade
