  1. got a few diffrent things to try now trying the omega fish oils now instead of the cod liver oil. there diet isnt to high protien so dont thik its that garypco. ive never massaged any of my dogs sandymere well only before a first run ont of the van in winter. cheers georgia she is doing me proud. thanks everone for replies i will do an up date in a few weeks. lofti.

  3. start with balls and make it fun, if you think they are getting bored stop, try again next day,give loads of praise when they do retrive. i must say tho,you have got your work cut out with two dogs the same age. as they distract each other. so you might need to do a bit of one to one with them.keep at it. when they get used to retriving the ball move on to a dummy, after they get used to retriving the dummy get a rabbit skin and either stitch or tie it round the dummy. this works for me, i hope this helps. all the best. lofti.

  7. one of my lurchers has a bald pach on each back thigh its started about a month ago when she was loosing her winter coat . its defo not mange because it hasnt got any worse and the other lurcher she is kenneld with is fine. it dosnt look sore,and is not itching her . i was thinking its from lying in the yard when the sun is out,because she is fine coated, when its fine i put blankets out for them , but the sun ends up at the other side of the yard so they end up lying on the concrete. they both have a good mixed diet and cod liver oil a few times a week, and are wormed regul
  8. nice strong looking pups there, they look well. the pups i have at the mo used to pretend they were deaf somtimes, some one to one with each pup seemed to sort it, somtimes can be difficult with two out of the same litter as the give each other confidence and distract each other. all the best with them. lofti.

  13. about 20 years ago we were mooching about looking for warrens to ferret behind the big local quarry ,i had my 7yr old jack russle and my pal had his 4month old lurcher pup. there was nothing in the feild we were in ,but sheep in the next feild we were passing. my pal had his pup on the lead,and it was yapping at the sheep. my jrt was fine round livestock and walked to heal as usual. next thing this farmer came running towards us with his 12 bore shouting and waving the gun around,it frightend the shit out of us. my dog started to bark at him trying to protect us and he shot my dog d

  17. when in season bitches they are not at there best mentaly, can get tired faster because body is changing. best lurchers ive had have been bitches mate so dont let it stop you. lofti.
  18. theres no diffrence when it comes to work only not running a bitch in season. but when day to day road walking etc it gets anoying when the dog insists on peeing on every upright that he comes across.
