  2. i finished work a little early today to go and do a bit of ferreting with runforyourlife off here on some new rabbiting permission we have just got, his dogs know the ferreting job in side out and are spot on at the game tip toeing round the warrens looking down the holes marking, and catching and pinning bolters. i took my fawn pup sarah who as never seen a feret before, i kept her close to me for the first 3 warrens and let her watch, after we netted up the 4th i let sarah off the lead knowing that she had no intrest in the ferrets, i was very happy to see her sitting and listening w

  5. gripper the best times for me is when its raining, not only can you move around better without the game hearing you it is also better for the majority of dogs to run on when the ground is softer . just to set the record straight runforyourlife is no way an internet hunter the guy is out in the feilds with his lurchers and ferrets more than anyone i know! lofti.

  11. good thing to do is when you get to a fence with barb wire is take your jumper or jacket off and put over the barb wire then get the dog over ,doesnt matter if dog can normally clear it its better to be safe then sorry. ATB you cant do that if your not there mate, but yes its a idea,
  12. What a load of absolute bollocks !!, what planet are you living on mister, another armchair hunter no doubt. I cant beleive what I have just read How about uneven ground, ground coditions, was it coursing at the time etc, etc. Get real will you for f@cks sake before you bore us all again with similar bullshit.
  13. THAT IS ABSOLUTE BULL SHIT!!!!! mrjones what a thing to say!!!! this is somthing that would be said by people that dont actually realy run there dogs unless you havent noticed there is barbed ALL over the countryside. yes a jump for a dog is easy but when in pursuit its a total diffrent my dogs are in very good condition. read back!! lofti.
