  11. At 7 months give him a chance hes not even full grown yet, with that cross the smallest you can expect is 25 but he should make more when he spurts in growth at about 10 months. i know his mum was 22" and the dad 25" so am hoping he will grow a little more. Hes more than quick enough as he is although i would like him to make 24 25" simply so ballance him out a touch being a bull x he is a strong muscular dog. appreciated .
  12. Thanks for the advise lads i mixed his mince raw up with his dry food on this occassion i was worried that a quick change of diet might result in him s'''''ting everywhere and seen as he sleeps on the bedroom floor that wouldnt be nice. He wolfed it straight down no bother loved it am now looking out for a small freezer so i can stock pile some cuts from the butchers for him appreciated guys
  13. what a utter load of nonsence ... why in the hell would a dog equate eating a bowl of raw mince to eating game he has caught ..... this is nothing more than a silly little story that raises its head every now and again spouted by people who know nothing about feeding raw meat to dogs ......... Come on SOCKS no need for this kind of reply is ther lad...! every1 has expirenced diffrent things the guy was only pointing out a situation he has encountred!!

  16. I am geting to grips with the fact that a dog does not have to be tall to do its job. I have a bull x grey pup 7months now and he seems to have stopped growing he has reached 22-23inchs in height. Although he looks abit small compaired to other lurchers i have seen i believe he will do his job no bother. Question is what is the optimun size for a lurcher taking rabbits and other game...?
  17. Could be assosiated with fleas...? Whenever i have taken my lurcher the vets they give his skin and fur a check over and they look for flaking bits caused my fleas i think
  18. My lurcher loves all fruit types especially apples. Is it ok to give the dog fruit on a regular basis??am guessing it must be good for him cause its good for us (5 a day and all that...!)
  19. heres my kennel hand build cost no more than 200pounds all in. its 10ft by 10ft and would most probably house two lurchers fully grown best way to go if you have the time and resources hand made all the way
  20. 3rd one down looks like a charlie... Would ratting be instincts for a lurcher or would it have to be taught??
  21. ahh i get you now..what is the bull used in the cross then? or the most popular bull used in the cross
  22. there are many difrent prefrances/oppinions and aslo types of lurchers, i dont see how people can critisize surten types if they have not owned 'the' type (ie bull blooded) of lurcher,(not saying that eny-one on this thread has 'nocked' the bull type lurcher, but.. often this question comes up on this forum 'your thoughts on a bullcross'. why does it get repeated? its a pointless question in my eyes, but there you go.. 'each to there own' ''why does it get repeated'' Maybe if you read the post you mite have realised that this is my 1st dog hence my inexpirence and hence why i have
  23. are you regrettingbuyng yourbull cross? once you have a bullcross as long as you seehim right he will never ever let you down. he will never work half cocked and he will never jack before he dies!! and youll never own a lurcher without at least "a bit of bull" in it!!! because they are bull x dont meen they wont jack if worked regular Jack ????????
  24. Fake bull x's???? does this mean that there are alot of people selling dogs as bull crosses when they are not...!??
