Anyone had any good solid days out with big numbers, my previous best was 11 until today regards
  3. I have had a mk1 for nearly 10 years and had no bother at all with that one until recently it began to make daft noices. i stripped it down and ran afew tests on the pcb and found a damaged track which i re soldered, cleaned the board up and now works spot on (i think the problem is that the pcb is loose in the case so i have glued mine down to prevent it rattling andbreaking again). The second of my locators is barely 2yrs old and has never worked great and has since stopped all together, i lookede at this one inside and found one of the micro chips has blown. i contacted deben and they s
  4. Yes mate there the items i am after. Thanks for taking ur time out to check appriciate that. Deben have removed any markings off these micro chips for obvious reasons (so we and other people dont manufacture them). I have contacted deben and they have been nothing but unhelpful i can not believe after paying over 100pounds for this locator maybe two years ago that the after care is this poor. thanks again i am greatful regards
  5. If you remove the back cover of the box then there is a small srew holding the black thumb dial in place remove this and ease the circuit board out flip it over and there u will see two black micro chips maybe 3cm long. thanks appriciate the reply, i have email deben and they arnt being helpful at all. we pay stupid prices for these simply and cheaply made locators and the after care is not what you would expect..!
