    Hi guys as a pup i had my lurcher vacinated all the usual jabs.i have had a reminder through saying his boosters are now due a year on. what are your thoughts do i need to have the dog vacinated again ??? do you guys have ur dogs done regualy?? cheers

    Hi mate yes its an ex contract phone the origonal phone broke this is the one that was replaced by the insurance a couple of weeks ago. i have now upgraded. was on o2 but my works vodaphone sim works in it also.

    The same applied for my mates dogs yet they managed to pick up where they left off nailing the rabbits....! Am a novice when it comes to dogs i didnt post the question to gain critism ...!

    I guys would a lurcher lose its edge if it wasnt ran for afew weeks?? reason i ask is i hadnt had myine out over xmas cause the grounds been to hard, took him out and put him on 6 good rabbits walked up on them kicked um up slipped the dog. hes still only 13month and has been doing great on the rabbits last few times hes hit 4 out of 6 runs but this night me missed all of them. he didnt look as sharpe like health wise he seems fine bust wondering if they lose there fitness like cheers

    Hi lads a mate has just got himself a new lurcher. am trying to work out what it is Dam = 1/2 bull 1/2 grey Sire = 1/4 bull 1/4 wheaton 1/2 grey what does this make the dog ?? regards

    I have never thought about selling rabbit before. does anyone know how i find out the local game dealer??? or if anyone knows anywhere in stoke on trent (staffordshire) who will buy rabbit. would pay for new bullets nets all sorts

    Iv had 5 out of 6 with my 13month old bullx tough going where he runs not a great deal to run on. some nights may walk for 2 3 hours with no slips

    i worked it out that he is 5/8 grey 3/8 bull. so almost a half cross although i may be wrong

    Just some more up to date pictures of ripley my 13month old bull x hes made 24inches and is proving to be a very good rabbit dog he is my first and only lurcher and i am extreemly pleased with him couldnt have asked for a better dog. He is now comming out of his puppyish ways and i am now enjoying having him around great dog thanks to loves2hunt whos dad breed him.

    I take my lurcher out everywhere with me doing all aspects of hunting. i was out decoying pigeon at the end of the day i ,let the lurcher retrieve the layed pigeons back to me. the first one he ran off with i followed him for 500yards or so and he continued to run and eat the bird. i eventually got to him and gave him a good thrashing with his leed (harsh i know) he walked to heel back to the hide and retrieved 25 birds one after the other staright to me i now have no bother with him doing this. Punishment is required in a ballance and at the right times after all the owner is the pack lea

    You have to prove you tried everything in your means to stop the dog from catching it, wich is a problem because who is going to belive you. also i have read that if its for the purpose of research n something else its ok ?? surly it would be quite easy to make some kind of document up to make it look like its all in the name of research

    Wasnt out on the lamp but it envolved the lurcher. after work i go through the patio doors and let the pouch out the pen most days the patio doors are wide open so he legs it into the house full pace. one day last week i decided to shut the doors opened the pen up and yeh you guessed it the idiot ran full pelt into the patio doors hillarious...! had to be there..! had the usual rabbit running directly towards us my mate volleys it staright in the air and the lurcher snapped it up..!

    Its banned but surly accidents happen as in you slip your dog to a rabbit and it kicks up a hare or even comes across a fox . Once the dogs there and on its way its impossible to call it off the chase. where would you stand here if you didnt intencially slip ur dog?? or even if your dog brings down a fox and you then shoot it??

    How do you guys organise you dogs before a lamping session?? i have been told by some people not to feed the dog the day i go i have heard some people wont feed the dogs for a couple of days before. How shud i be prepairing my lurcher ?? I wouldnt play football on no food for days i would have no energy ect does this applyt to dogs look forward to ur replys regards steve
