The lumping is soft so i think this could be swelling I am from stoke on trent / stafford area do you know of any greyhound vets in this area mines just a pet vets and probably wont have a clue
  2. Willow here is a picture of the foot i shall put more up. If you look on the right hand side there is a lump which i think is swelling which runs diagonnally across the 2 knuckles
  3. Gents I took the lurcher out for his first mooch of the season 2 weeks ago. I managed to get him the one run which he caught no problems. We carried on looking for more rabbits with the dog keen to keep going. Nothing else showed itself and as usual i checked the dog over when we got home for any minor injurys all was fine. Next morning i let the dog out into the garden when i noticed he refused to put any weight on his front foot. Clearly in pain i shut him in his kennel for rest that week checking him daily. A hard lump had formed across two of his knuckles but. After a week the limp ha

He runs the beam no problem catches rabbit no problem and will retrieve them to hand (not straight away but not a major wait). However this year if he misses a rabbit i turn the lamp off whistle and he doesnt return i can hear him runnning about the field then he comes back. he never did this last year and a after a missed rabbit he would have a sniff at the hedge or hole and return to the slip. I can leave a rabbit or dummy in a feild and lamp this he will pick up and return straight to hand (b

  15. You're right there Miss T -its the only smell thats ever made me gip- literally & worth paying the vet to clear them out-especially if they are impacted. Tend to notice by the constant licking & horrible fishy smell. Other than that if its spreading it could be mange or an allergy Lol....i do it at work...dont even smell them anymore.....if they're not impacted you could enquire at a groomers if they do them would be cheaper but if they are its safer for a vet to do them as they could rupture and cause more problems.... How do you mean 'impacted'?? i have to clear is
  16. Could be mange, take it to the vets mate. Yeh this was my initial thought god knows ..[NO TEXT TALK] had an expirence of this ??
