    Feeding BOPS

doubt it very much, rabbits can live a healthy life with a small amount of shot in it, just by running your hand over it wouldn't give you any idea if it had a couple of number 6 in it say, but get a bird to eat it then its a different kettle of fish, as i said a couple of grains not a handful
  3. oh and i forgot to add that if you have a landy then you have to have a mig, they go hand in hand...if you get what i mean
  4. i've been welding for years, mainly cars (my own) to keep the bills down etc. Started with a arc welder but got fed up with the metal wastage and time involved. The mig was the best move i ever made, don't get me wrong i still have bad days, especially as all my stuff is done outside(no garage) so wind factor has a lot to do with how the weld turns out, only takes a light breeze and your fooked so basically i have to have the weather on my side if its for the motor, same goes for my spraying as well. Its also handy for knocking up other smaller projects as well like a longnet basket...i made
  5. go for a mig, sod all that slag build up, fooker to see where your welding with an arc welder, at least if you get a decent mig you can weld thinner metal with practice and blow less holes in it. Take a look at this site for a few ideas, tips and tutorials, also has a good forum... http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/

    Feeding BOPS

another thing of interest is how many people feed rabbit on the odd occasion to bop...now if they think to thereselves it's ok i killed it with a headshot with my air rifle or even say a rimfire then stop & think for a minute..... theres plenty of rabbit alive and kicking who have the odd bit of buckshot in their backsides...you could always try one of these, run it over your kill to guarantee its clean, i'm sure it must cover lead...worth enquiring about surely at this price... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-WRIGHT-ELECTRONI...id=p3286.c0.m14
  9. yeah right, the scope i bought was boxed, came with mounts and was never fitted/used hence no marks
  10. i paid 30 quid for one boxed with the mounts a few months back on bbs

  12. ain't it grand, just heard the news on the way home in the car, the boy got put on his arse and had what i call....the trevor berbick expression on his face as he tried to get up just like when tyson floored him. Lets face it he is just a cocky little boy, gonna go asleep with a smile on me face.....
  13. have always used the old washing powder trick with a touch of washing up liquid, got it off the old man, he was a mechanic and swore by it, just add a touch of thick bleach to get rid of that horrible rabbit flesh pissy smell. You will also find out if you have any cuts, bloody hurts like hell.
  14. the red mites are a pain in the arse, but reading on other fotums everyone suffers from them year in year out, i regularly strip out the coop, blow torch the little blighters in every nook & cranny, disinfect and scrub down inside and out, dust the birds regularly and also apply the dust to their bathing spots around the garden....but they always return after a month or so....
  15. This is a first for me so i thought i would post it if anyone else had the same problem and wanted a remedy.... Had my three chickens now for around just under three years and apart from the ongoing red mite problem that i have always dealt with, healthwise they have all been fine until today. This afternoon though i noticed one of the girls just sitting in a corner all lethargic, i went in and even picked her up with ease(most unusual) so i let them out their pen into the garden for a scratch around. The poorly one was a bit slow in coming out and i noticed that when she crapped it was a
  16. yep...i've been building my body now for a few years(since i divorced) on bitter , kebab and take aways...doing mighty fine as well
  17. don't start with the eyebrow pencil, you don't want to encourage him, next thing he will walk in with mascara and a skirt like a throwback out of BB let him go to school and if its that bad they will take the p*** , otherwise let him get on with it and he can learn from it....3 months time it will be something else

  21. wish i had stuck with the countryside management, worked on there in my teens with the local authority had some great times, it was a scheme at the time and i left and went onto to work in the parks dept running a local sports stadium athletics and football which i left years later due to council cutbacks, privatisation and the bringing in of bidding for contracts/tenders which in my mind is when local authorities fell to pieces, the quality and care of work went spirraling downhill. I got my phase 1 horticulture followed by two years of sports turf management, pesticide spraying module and a
  22. thats just the problem with this country whats written above. Do you honestly believe people who commit these type of crimes honestly care and spend the rest of there days living a nightmare inside...yeah right, these are sick individuals who could not give two hoots about being locked up, being kept by us taxpayers, meals, private healthcare, gyms and all their other entitlements just waiting for some do gooder to let them free. Let them fry or die and the families of lost ones can have some closure and not also be commited to a life sentence everytime theres a mention of the convicted ones
