  1. This February we had an intensified hunt on foxes and raccoon dogs here in my club´s area (in Finland). We shot a lot of foxes by the hounds, also my smooth foxterrier participated, so that we got 3 foxes almost in a row in short period: Here are two of them
  2. Nope, I've heard that the japanese eat them  (fat little buggers, raccoons I mean ) If the fur is good, some take it off, but because of the low prices, it is just for the removal of non-domestic small predator. You can make a good "Davy Crockett" style hat out of them though..... P.S. They stink, worse than fox and badger together Unfortunately all the hunting forums here are in Finnish, but I'll give some links to those topics with pictures: Pics about small predator hunt Foxterriers and hunting As you can imagine there are "cityfolks" also here in Finland who do not
  3. Hi! I joined to see how things are done over there, because it seems that even though the basics might be the same, many other things are done differently (thanks to stupid laws) and we all might learn something new from each others. First of all, here in Finland, we do hunt also foxes and badgers (yes badgers are legal game over here.) Then we have this raccoon dog which is the most common prey nowadays when small predators are concerned. My dog is a 2½ years old smooth foxterrier, very hot tempered with fox and raccoon dog, but fortunately somewhat cautious when it comes to badger. H
