hi jesse james, thanks mate seems a whole new kettle of fish here will be doing alot of homework, so should i put down 3 guns straight away when i apply? seems like they are very cheap compared to air rfles which is nice the guy said they used to have someone who killed the foxes with a "high powered rifle" so a firearm of some kind has been allowed previously this is exciting stuff

Need help on choosing the best gun for the job
kingjohn1966 replied to kingjohn1966's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Thanks for the reply so quick jackinbox I also thought that to start but my aunt was saying some people shoot foxes in much smaller gardens as a job I can't find much info about it though I'd love that job -
Hi all, Not posted in this section before as I usualy stalk rabbits and woodies with an air gun, I'm going to now apply for an FAC. Reason being my auntie has pet ducks and are being attacked by foxes, what gun will I need to kill them? The range I need to shoot is between 50-100yards I guess Any suggestions on gun type, calibre, makes&modle is what I'm after, Also will I be granted to shoot foxes in back gardens? It's about 50yards wide and 150 long Thanks in advance John

kingjohn1966 replied to kingjohn1966's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
thanks chaps, i dont have any land permisson at the moment as i stopped shooting a while ago now (hurt my back and was layed up for a long time) now someone else has the land but will have to just ask around i guess. would be nice if anyone on here would let me tag along 1 day as ive never even tried ferreting before -
hi all, have really wanted to get into ferreting for a while now just dont really know how to go about it where to go etc, ive kept ferrets before as pets but only ever hunted with air rifles, isit just as hard to get permission for ferrets as guns? how many ferrets you reccomend taking out on a trip? atb john
