  1. There are three copies of the same DVD. Not three seperate subjects. If the three Replies on this post will send me an address, I will post them off. Dullahan (I will reply to the P.Ms.)
  2. I am a member of the C.F.S.A. (Cambridgeshire Field Sports Association) and copied a number of Instructional Videos for the Novice members of the Association on Vermin Control by the Use of Airguns. I have three copies left and wish to dispose of them, preferably to novice airgunners. It will be "First Come, First Served" so if you want one of the three remaining copies P.M. me.
  3. WELL SAID THERE IS LOTS OF DICKHEADS ON HERE JUST LATELY TOTALLY AGREE LOTS OF FOLK THAT HAVE DONE IT FOR 5 MINS AND THEN CAN SLATE AND PASS COMMENT ON OTHER FOLK WHO ARE OUT ENJOYING THEM SELVES NONE OF US ARE PERFECT HUNTERS BUT AT LEAST WERE HAVEIN FUN AND ENJOYING IT THATS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT YIS CHAINY To regulate this site the admin should not allow "Guests" many are 'Eco-Fascists' (mainly Animal Libbers) looking for information. How is this when I first started in 1948. My Grandads Two Lurchers. Picture won't load to large. Neither will the colour change.
  4. Holdaway, Of Course you are allowed your opinion. Just as the rest of the population is entitled to theirs. Nobody would deliberately snare a cat or dog (well maybe a Korean for the Dog) As for the restrictions on holding a firearm is another matter it is less than 100 years since their were No restrictions on firearms and less than 30 years since the shotgun licence could be bought in the Post Office for 10 shillings (50p) Blair saw the opportunity to use Dunblain incident to his political advantage and restrict the use of Firearms. There are now more 'Illegal' guns in the Country than eve
  5. Holdaway, I do not really wish to offend you but after reading your post I think you are talking out of the wrong orifice. "Snaring without permission will spoil it for all of us" is such pontifical nonsense. There has been 'Poachers' in Britain since the thirteenth century when the peasants used to take the King's Deer, and that was a hanging offence. They don't hang anybody any longer so it must be getting better. I suggest that you read "More tales of Old Poachers" by John Humphreys. There will always be poachers in a Rural Community (I am not including 'Rustlers' of farm animals
  6. Airgunning is not taken seriously in the U.S. They think it is a sport for kids.
  7. A lecher sidles up to a Girl in a bar with his 'come-on' patter. "Haven't we met before?" The girl looks at him with a bored expression, "probably" she sighs " I am the receptionist at the STD Clinic"
  8. Snareman1234, If you watch a squirrel it sort of moves in short leaps. Now I snare Mink in the winter and often set a snare on logs across the water (stream) as mink like to get close to the water. I have found that it is better to set the snare in a hoop about four fingers. I nail the wire hoop (Fence wire) to the log with staples. You can't use a trap that you use for squirrels if you want to save the pelt.
  9. theres loads on this site mate , read back through the old posts, and on the pinned topics at the top of the page we all love our trapping and snaring on this section, WELCOME TO THE SITE Thanks for the welcome. I have seen the articles on Squirrel Snaring and clicked on the article but it does not seem to download Could I be doing something wrong?
  10. Has any of the members ever seen the need to use a 'Squirrel Pole' or a 'Poacher's wand'. As a new member I am not aware of the average age of the members but these were frequently used in my early days along with a few other types of traps and snares. The trend these days seem to concentrate on shooting but trapping and snaring can sometimes be more effective and more productive.
  11. I have just posted about my trip to Poland Boar Hunting. It was three years ago but still vivid. You can borrow rifles from the Package operator. You will really enjoy it if you have the Hunting Instinct but you have to work with a partner for your protection. (Hope you don't get a Russian Razorback on your first outing. Very frightening )
  12. I have just joined today (April 6th). I am not new to "The Hunting Life" as I have been shooting in a variety of forms and at various quarry for over sixty years. My background is although born in the North West I was brought up by my grandfather in Berkshire during WW2 era. My grandfather was the local poacher and supplied much needed meat and game to the village in those austere time (even to the Village policeman). I learned valuable field craft from him. So I have been around guns and 'the hunting life. I have four guns A 12 bore, two 410s (One s/s and one single Cooey magnum) I lived in t
