I thought that too but mine's on a section 1 Have you had any luck yet Bolty? you are right ,section 1 for those with fac slots, but section 5rfd to deal in them because they are section 5 until you possess them on your fac when they become section one under the exemption in the firearms act for use by a pest controller or for humane destruction. if you sell either a bullet pistol or shot pistol back to a dealer it reverts back to its section 5 status..greasemonkey
  4. hi, if its not to far from you you might like to try scotarms auctions at newark,they are held every couple of months and its possible to buy a db 12 bore and a half decent .22 for maybe 100 pounds the pair ,its mainly a trade auction but is open to the public with sgc and fac .ive seen scruffy spanish double 12bores sell for a tenner. my favorite clay gun is an old browning auto 5 which ibought there for 50 quid its not beautiful but i like it. i agree with others on this forum that if you buy new go for a cz 452 they are excellent value for money and superbly engineered..regards greasemonkey
  5. hi,cant help with the balancing ,but the butt plate is both screwed and glued on ,remove screws ,warm butt plate very gently with a small flame on a blowlamp until you melt the glue just enough to slide the buttplate off using side pressure..good luck..greasemonkey
