    Got fed up with snaring(see snaring section)? decided to have a mornings ferreting,nothing serious few small open setts.

    Had a few wires out at woodgas few days ago,picked 34 up on the first night. Snares left down for 3 nights took 112 by the end.

    It was a normal spade but it’s seen that much work over the years it’s worn the blade down ?

    Came down stairs for a brew and woodga is set making rabbit snares ? he’s obsessed ?

    He’s. Little c@nt ? Hes pure patterdale,he’s 2 year old now he’s absolutely rabbit mad, marks setts,drystone walls etc.

    Had a trip up to woodgas for a pre season ferreting do. Did some open setts with the ferrets and longnets. The fields had runs all over,a snarers dream, we took a few rabbits finished on 13 out of two setts.

    Set at 7 1/2 would be better? In the longer grass about 9-10” rabbits jump higher then people think in long grass. also this time of year you will have young ones hopping about so you might get a few knocked,but even the ones at 7-10 will pick up the half three quarters grown. Dont forget you marker pins??

    Yes it is,find it ideal for shooting in woods nice and point able and it doesn’t matter if it gets the odd knock.

    Had a couple of days out in a local wood,the pigeons was feeding on a set aside field over the boundary then flying back to a wood on my patch, first day 23,second day 16 and a crow.

    I've got my eye on a leupold vx3 45-14x50 s/h anyone know if these are good scopes,I've been and had a look and was impressed with it,just can't make me mind up too much choice ?
