  1. Good stuff should be kept tight thats why it stays good stuff when its in the right hands. Exactly....so only if your in the know do you get a good pup. I have been lucky, being put on to a pup which i had to travel the length of the country for and has done alright now 2 1/2 years down the line, compared to the 2 pups i had previously from the Yellow Paper. I'm sure their are miles better dogs about than the dogs my bitch is out of but it's a foot on the ladder for me, the bitch has given me a standard to improve on with the pup I had sent over from Eire recently. The bitch I have
  2. How is that nonsense Cleanspade?? I wouldn't dare buy a dog off here now, I enquired about a couple of adverts a couple of month back, lads phoned up, asked about and a LOT of things weren't as they seamed in the advert...lots of umming and arrring.....well actually's and I dont know EXACTLY what the dogs out of. And if i did breed a litter in the future out of worthwhile dogs they would be given to lads I know or have been recommended to me, failing that culled so they werent going to nuggets. So what your saying Cleanspade is that you WOULD sell your pups to whoever, rather than plac

  4. [Main Man] this will almost definatly stir a few coments but there are far to many terriers about who are not bred from good stuff! why breed from dogs that dont do much work and contaminate the good blood with bad!! buy a terrier buy almeans but dont breed from the rubish. even well bred dogs dont always turn out to be good but will kill rats ect! If you had good working terriers and bred them, would you sell the pups to those that aren't gonna do much with the pup? I wouldn't that's for sure as they would be wasted....could breed the pup with another sub standard dog of their mates and
  5. Good man SWAG, glad to see another lad helping someone out. Nice to see there's still a few people out there willin to help each other out.
  6. soz about all them replys I'm not sure what your gettin at mate......do you want his number?????
  7. Over the last year or 2 I have realised an awful lot of the local lads that have terriers and i thought were the bee's knees and there dogs were the mutts nuts don't actually do as much as all the lads ive had the pleasure of going out with on here....standards are so different it's unbelievable. The dogs local that have a dozen digs a season are legends, more than proven in the owners and friends eyes. These dogs are being bred off and the offspring are being bred off, alot of the serious lads wouldnt even entertain the dogs. As someone said, a dog out with a good pack of hounds will see
  8. The little helper looks just like her dad TOMO
  9. As someone has already said, when I have a lurcher pup I put boards across the front of the kennel area so the pup has to climb, then as it gets older....jump over to get out into the run to get it's food an water and do it's business. As it goes out in the field it has to learn to jump obstacles, getting higher as it gets older. I would leave it at a fence and let it learn to get over it, obviously not leaving a 16 week old pup at a 4 foot fence so it is over matched, sensible heights for the age and size of the pup, bearing in mind the dog is still growing and the joints are still develo
  10. How many english dogs have you seen come up to Scotland that don't jump then?? Are they all coursing dogs? I know a lad that used to take CN's dogs out and he didnt get them jumping as they had no need on the land they ran
  11. The young bitch I have to start properly has only managed the odd day and night here an there due to ripping a 4 inch long gash in her inside back leg which opened right up, caused by barbed wire....... knocking a toe up which had her laid up for a few weeks, the ground has been like bell metal so Ive had to select where to run her once the toe had healed up.....then when i eventually did get out she ripped 3 holes in her chest, these filled with air and started pishin with blood on the second rabbit of the night which cut that night short so there's another week or so off...... The bitch
  12. That's the one Just like my bitch eh
  13. Justa couple of pics of the pup I had sent over from Eire a few weeks ago, free of charge off a genuine good lad on here. Hopefully this time next year he will have entered and started earning his keep. The pics were taken when the pup was around 8 weeks, he's stretched a bit now and is all legs, bold as brass after a day or 2 settling in and hopefully a worthy addition to the team. 'Winston'
  14. Excellent write up mate and cracking pictures to top it all off.
  15. Very common problem with these .....try lots of teflon tape on the thread you will get plenty of it on the Dunlin I'll have to search about mate, I think the tape is whats holding the place together in amongst the rust which is more than plentyful!!!! It's not as if it's had a load of hammer either cos it's only been used for an hour all in i think and the selling point of the fella was how it lined up true everytime.......
  16. See if you READ THE POST, that will help with your question....... top line.......full MOT and TAX till February
  17. Why would you want a terrier off Craig?? He has a couple about the place, he kept 2 pups back out of an accidental mating between 2 young dogs he has and the others were sold for £200. From what I can gather loads of people with black terriers say they are 'Nuttalls' so that wont help the cause. Brian has about 20 terriers out in hunt service doing the business so he does have some half decent dogs I've been told by lads that know the man and have days out with him.
  18. I got a 2 piece graft from John's shop, after little use the handle doesnt line up with the head now but I havent had time to take it back.
  19. Nice looking bitch mate, wont be long till she has her first season and you can get your black dog over her to get your money back for the fuel, food and no expense spared rearing costs
  20. Thats not what uncle M said about you He said M had taken him places he'd never been before...didn't know he meant it that way...  Hey he tried to sway me to 'The Dark Side'....."Wilf Style" he called it but this egg wasn't for cracking!!!
  21. I dislike the word "victim"........."plaything" is much better!! Wilf, we all know you're all "wrong" inside...... "Victim" is such a distasteful word dont you think..........I like to think my "playthings" want me to do what I do!! NO MEANS NO WILF!!!
