any dog running a rabbit or hare has a chance off dying seen many a dog breaking its neck driving in at a hare and fox so l think your wrong you are right but rabbits and foxes usually head for a hedge whereas the hare will head for the gate unless he immensely pressed to clapping. so if he runs a rabbit or a fox he goes to another field and there won't be a car in there whereas if he runs the hare he could easily run on the road and get hit by a car. so personally i think your incorrect and my theory is correct joe

totally disagree with you iceman foxing daytime is a lot easier than at night. the other problem with running a hare (pre ban) during the day is that if they get to the gate the dog then has a risk of being killed whereas at night there aren't many cars so less chance of a collision.

totally agree with craigyboy i'd rather run a hare lamping (pre ban) for the sport and the game and its fair to the hare whereas if you shot it doesn't stand much of a shot as not as sporting and what are you gonna do with 300 hares just elimantes the population and leaves no sport for the future.

bend down so he feels superior and praise him when he comes to you with a treat and then ween him off once hes done it a dozen or so times. works with mine hopefully it helps. atb joe

my dad's dog use to grab them by the neck usually. however, seen him catch them by the hocs and bring them down amazing to see grab both hocs at the same time. how many people have seen dogs catch a deer whilst its jumping a dike because hes done that he was a terrific deer and hare dog but not made for charlies but earned his keep. atb joe p.s. pre ban of course.

went out months back running some hares (pre ban) and the dog was hot on its tail and the hare started running up towards a road down and the field and flipped over dog and ran across the field but he done this 3 times deserved to get away was amazing. joe
