I prefer mine with honey, thanks - not a big fan of peanut butter! Cheers, John.

There is not a mile of difference between Ken and some of the best examples of 3rd World corruption! Boris must be pretty smart - come across dippy and slip under the radar. He cannot possibly have got where he is today by being such a buffoon. Cheers, John.
-
Well here's hoping to see the end of Ken (for the second time!) - I think Boris would be great! He can't possibly be as daft as he appears to be! Even if he was, he can't possibly be as daft as ken!! Cheers, John.

"I aint moaning about it mate i'm quite happy to crack on as it is, there aint no councillor or party that can please us all. Any of them reverse the hunting ban??????????? I doubt it. Any of them sort the economy out?????????? I doubt it. Any of them bring back the death penalty for the scum this place has produced????????? I doubt it. I just cant see the point in voting, this country has gone too far now to be turned back around to a place we were once proud to be a part of. And as for the many hundreds dead, bet their gutted cause fook all has changed, rich get richer and poor get poorer"..
-
Trouble is, if we "crack on as we are" - we end up perpetuating the misery that you appear to be concerned about. The current influx of Polish people is a result of our membership of the EU

Yeah, I just got back from voting..............................it wasn't red! Cheers, John.

So, as a potential 'meddling do-gooder', if I see a loose dog by the side of the road, what should I do?

Hi Faris, Very perculiar request!! I take it you are referring to porcupines! I would suggest that Google will be your best friend with this request - just search 'porcupine trap'. It would appear that they are quite a problem in the USA (and in Yemen too, obviously!)! What do your neighbouring farmers do about this problem? Cheers, John.

Hi Mick, Good luck with the move mate! No, brother isn't in the Army - just retired from the building trade! Cheers, John.
-
Finally sussed-out how to post pics! This is the new gun - very pleased with it (understatement of the year!)!! Cheers, John.
-
Sounds like you are moving West Young Man!! No bad thing really - not much available for us freelancers in Hampshire! My brother is based near Salisbury and the going seems to get easier westwards! Cheers, John.

Good Evening Peeps, I have been trying to upload pictures of my new gun on here but have failed miserably! I am such a dickhead when it comes to computer stuff!! I tried posting the irls but got this message: "Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed " ! Not allowed to copy and paste! Can't find any help via 'search' Anyone able to give me an idiots guide to posting pics on this site?!! Thanks, John.

Good evening & welcome! Not been here long myself ! What part of hants you from? i used to live near Andover. See you around! Cheers, John.

Cheers mate, According to their website, Avalon have access to a shooting ground '5 minutes drive away' where guns can be tested. Thing is, Somerset is about 5 hours away from here! I will post up some pics as soon as i get it! Thanks, John.

Thanks Geoff, I will give you first refusal ...................but not at £450 !! They are a stylish gun but not only that, they have a well tested pedigree of performance. I think the 686 range is by far the best 'bang for bucks' - they do make some stunning guns in other denominations but I want mine to earn it's keep! Cheers, John.

Yeah, it is a smart gun - most of the Italian ones are, but I think Beretta look best. However, no point having a handsome gun if it don't suit me or I can't "hit a chicken in the fridge with it" (saw that phrase in another thread on this forum and thought it was ace!!) so hopefully it will suit me!! Cheers, John. The Silver Pigeon is a beautiful gun, what model did you buy mate. They can be a bit short in the stock for some people, how did it feel when you shouldered it?? I appreciate you’ve emptied your wallet mate but it might be a good idea to get Avalon to fit it for you,
-
AAaaaargh........don't prick my bubble!!!!!!!! I'm sure Beretta don't send out guns with dodgy woodwork!................they don't do they?!!!!!!!!!!! If they do, you will hear about it first on here!! In any case, I will post up some pics when the new gun arrives (if I can work out how to do it!) Cheers, John.

You are right there bigredbusa - almost couldn't get further away if I tried!! Thing is - they were by far the best deal on the price and they were good to deal with, which means a lot these days. I think they use some sort of secure courier firm to transport the gun. I have paid by debit card, now have to send my certificate off tomorrow by recorded post to Avalon for them to endorse it with the details of the new gun. They then courier the gun to my nearest firearms dealer (1.5 miles away) who does the 'face-to-face' handover. Not sure if my certificate will be with my gun or posted

Well "Thanks a lot Wingshooter"!! Earlier this afternoon I followed his advice and now I'm a lot poorer than I was before I followed his advice!! Just ordered a new Beretta Silver Pigeon from Avalon Guns in Somerset - they had one left from last years stock at pre-price increase price so we were able to do a deal! I'm now skint but can't wait!! Thanks to all for your input - every opinion has been considered ( except for that prick of a troll who infested the thread earlier!!) Cheers, John.
-
Cheers Woodga! You are right about the liveliness making it interesting - that is a good thing. The other night some prat was on bothering my threads and implying that there was something iffy about my motives but the mods seem to have sorted that out now! Cheers, John.

hi & :welcomeani: davy Good Morning to you Davy! Cheers, John
-
Thanks Huntswithhounds, I know exactly what you mean - I think my style suits a gun that shoots high but I'm not certain - trouble is, not many places are set up to allow you to 'test drive' guns these days! Cheers, John

Evening Peeps, I'm sure that with a Rizzini I would get a good basic gun with a touch of Italian styling but I am trying to get a bit more on the refined engineering and reliability front. Can't afford to buy that new so will go for the best 686 I can find at around £700 - 800! Thanks for your replies! Cheers, John.
