no offense taken my friend ive taken every bit of advice from the replys i have got and i can certainly say i will be doing things different next time!!!! it makes sense to move the net away from the holes i can only put it down to inexperience it will be next week before we go out again so il put all your advice into practice thanks again for your replys devvo

What a day! Got set off at 9am, on our permission for half past, the owner off this land got me a 50 yard longnet for christmas so thought we would try it out. As soon as we pulled up the wind got up to what must have been 40 mph plus! Anyway we were here now and would have a go. I saw a rabbit dash into a small stack off silage bales, so out with the long net, set it up as per stubbys helpful advice. one bolted after a couple of minutes, my mate hadnt pushed the peg in hard enough so it fell over just as the rabbit bolted! BUGGER! so set her up again and waited and waited ferret came

we got 9 and not one in the net!!! had to dig for 7 and 2 bolted into purse nets. one rabbit went in the net but i could'nt get to it in time so it escaped does this mean we need more bagging in the net? heres some pics see what you think we put 5 ferrets in this warren as it as massive!!!! it worked well bolting the rabbits, only thing is they kept going back in we manage to get 3 sorry theres no end of the day photo it was to dark to take a pic with my phone cheers devvo

I got a 50yard long net for christmas and me and my brother are going out with it today, had a quick go setting it yesterday in the garden and we think we know roughly know how to set it might be doing it wrong but we dont know . we will take some pictures and let you know how we get on. any constructive criticism is welcome cheers devvo

Alright lads, Just wondered if anyone on here would wanna make or could sell me a 100 yr long net? Or hat price is right sort off thing? Also getting a bit confused with the poles, where to get them from etc? Il have a flick round on the net now and have a look, but i thought i might get more help on here Cheers in advance

8ft, the locater just picked the ferret up on 8 after an hour we got to him, and his rabbit!

spotted it on the way to work the next morning, so i'm not giving up hope yet! Cheers for the replies. i can speak from the same experiance mate, our big hob escaped and we lookd for days!!! no sign untill my brother was on his way back from a shooting outing and he spotted a white thing running down the road the little stinker was abit hungry and had a few ticks on him, but he soon recovered we now have a new security system inplace padlocks i dont think the stinkers can escape now...... devvo
