  5. the only thing close to a ferret we have bolted is a stoat or two
  6. try wrapping a bit of rag around them the more the better

Talking about frosty mornings, my grandad taught me a way to tell if theres a bunny home he told me to look around the edge of a hole (if there frosty grass or stuff) and if theres a rim of melted frost theres a bunny home it worked on a set we tryd in a field and got 4 from it. Im not saying this will be correct all the time but it worked for us that day :thumbs-up: cheers devvo
  8. morning fellow hunters :thumbs-up: going out today for a few hours, in hope of catching a few bunnys were going on some permission behind my grandads old farm house he says theres a few bunnykins round there so hopefully it should b a gd day Taking the trike n trailer aswell so we can cover lots more ground The Team we are taking today consists of, Devvo (hob) and two of our jills Fudge and Patch. 8:30am 1st set, 1st bunny 2nd set under this tree Bolted 3, dug 1.   9. i could live with that i havint seen any young as of yet so il keep going till i do Same here mate, when ferreting (touch wood) we havent seen any younguns yet, but on the idustrial estate where my brother works, we saw about 10 half grown ones whilst driving around Out on Sunday, we shall see what goes on then Devvo

Got started at about 9:30 am on sunday morning, ferreting an 8 year old woodland at the side of the A168 near me, walked down to the bottom then made our way into and up the wood, first rabbit we saw was a ginger one he buggered off further on up the wood and scarred another one which bolted over the road o well carried on walking the wood up, then found a nice well work set, only a 3 holer so netted up and entered a jill, 5minutes later Mr Ginger is in the net nice easy first rabbit, we then walked further up the wood, found another nice set about 7 - 8 holes so we netted up and l
  14. As you lads know, we put our hob in ith ours jills to take um out of season, only one jill had kits, the other didnt. Will we be ok leaving them this year with clean bedding etc

  18. We use ferret complete as we rarely have any rabbits left when we go out, it seems to work ok for us we got 6 ferrets, they love it.
  19. Got to the spot we wanted to ferret, bit off action to say the least, the hounds were there! so we didnt do any ferret to watched them lads following the scent (Y) no charlies but good fun, no pics left the cam in the car hehe
