  4. reading your posts boys it sounds like im lucky where i live...not saying we take big bags, (quite the opposite) but rarely do we come home with nothing and generally have a few good courses on whatever we decide to hunt...but would agree that there are definatley pocket areas which are more rewarding than others...the only problem i have is the opposite to yours...you boys can go out all the time but theres not much about...myself there is lots about but due to just having a plate in my leg, i cant get out to catch em...one of my fields got about 50 rabbits in it....i would offer it out to on

  6. if the ferrets nails are that curled over then its no wonder shes suffering permanent pmt...get someone to help you... and then one of you can hold her head and legs and the other can clip the nails...afterwards, put a paving slab or two in the hutch for her to wear her nails down natrualy...good luck...

  8. gotta add this on golf courses as it baffled me at the time...whilst doing a bit of work in the countryside, i passed a golf course, it was 3 o clock in the afternoon and on one of the greens there was at least 30 rabbits in broad daylight...naturally i thaught id stumbled upon one of the few courses with no rabbit controllers...needless to say i very exitedley drove up to the clubhouse and asked if it were possible to speak with the groundsman, to which i was told that the coarse owner was sitting beside me...as i looked to my side there was a lady sat there looking at me and asked what she c

    boxing day

same here buddy, normally watch my father and mother in law off..but this year my father was airlifted off the mountain 5 weeks ago and is currently recovering four broken ribs, muscle damage down one side and has had a plate put in his collerbone, my mother in law took a tumble at her stables yesterday and has done the ligaments in her knee and ive just had plates and pins put in my leg after the quad fell backwards on me going up a banking...so my missed is gonna drop us all over to see the hunt of.....will be like a f**king ambulance when we pull up there...all the best all and who know me.
  10. chers mate fair play with your honesty lad, ignore all the experts with amazing dogs and keep doing what your doing..im sure there are plenty of people wanting a rabbiting dog who will do foxes also to put over their bitches...all the best and merry x mas...
  11. not to cause any arguments, but personally i am happy with my sexuality and am not offended by someone who has added a signiture of their sister...personally i think its quite uplifting to see the diverse range of people of all ages that enjoy hunting the same as me...but can also understand how peodos feel they are being tested whilst having to look at young females merry christmas everyone and happy new year...
  12. Name and shame then no good half stories would probably get kicked off this site mate...lots of back scratching goes on...
  13. have also noticed that a certain theif has had their adverts creep back into the mag aswell...so i will do as i said and stop buying...

  16. just had the same happen to me and can tell u this...it does hurt in the morning...mine happened when my quad bike came backward on me whilst going up a banking...tibia and fibia broken and plate and screws later..worst thing about it was that two days before we had just got my mates lurcher going well on the lamp...wont be walking anywhere for a long while now...
  17. be nice to see the pi of him...am quite interested in the turnout...
  18. from the valleys and am surrounded by foxes, hare and rabbits...also a very healthy population of squirrels too...just gotta know where to look...one of my own fields is absolutely teeming with rabbits too...but due to just having had a plate put in my leg after a quad accident, then i will have to leave them there till i can walk again...ferrets are in for a good time in february...
  19. just my veiw... ignore all the perfect world breeders of "ultimate" terriers on here...not long ago i took on a three year old "pet"...took her off the guy as she was in a terrible state, starved, worms, fleas, frightened wreck of a russel who pissed herself as soon as you raised your voice...intended to put her in nice home......got attatched, gained her trust and a season and a half later she is one of the best workers ive owned with other people on hear to testify...wont say shes better than anyone elses, but perfect for what i want out of my dogs...if its in the dog, then its up to the own
  20. would depend on the size and gameness of the fox terrier buddy...
  21. how did you manage that ???? i had to wait 8 mts to be granted a shotgun certificate......
  22. friend of mine has a bull x supposedly out of a dog called diesel from birmingham way... its a longshot but would anyone know anything about him... supposedly he has been used a number of times cause of his stamp and gameness so might be known to lurchermen
  23. am currently trying to toilet train a pup i kept back, to add to the problem ive just had a plate put in my leg, so am on crutches with no weight to be allowed on leg at all, the cumpulsory opening of the door every 40 mins or mopping up is a bit harder for me than most but has become more of a pleasure as i seem to be mopping up less and less by the day...keep at it, persistence is the key...not punishment, good luck and remember, a pup is an empty book... the more time put into the pages, the better the read...good luck
