  1. well guys im slowly getting the hang of my new tx200 hc,even though its a right hander and im a lefty i seem to be doing ok im limiting my self down to about 20 yards cos to tell the truth im not that good a shot i can manage to get decent groups at about 20 yards about the size of a fifty p piece after that im struggling abit i guess lots more practice to be doing any how i got these two mooching about on my compost heap cheers mal

  4. well guys i went and did it i got myself a proper air rifle at last after much debateing between the bsa lightning and the tx 200 hc i decided to treat myself to the tx200 hc and well chuffed i am with it . i took it down the garden last night and it took out 8 rats afteri managed to zero it in. its abit strange for me to use as im left handed but the more im useing it the better its performing its an heavy bugger after a while but as i say ill get used to it what would you guys use to protect the wallnut stock ie oil ,wax anyhow im waffleing on thanks to all the guys who helped me
  5. well guys i just got back from the garden doing a bit of zeroing and a bit more plinking with my new tx200 and im impressed with it . took me a while to get used to loading it and the friggin bear trap thingy as im a left hander and its a right hand stock but i think i really like this rifle i have only zeroed it to about 20 yards as thats all i need over the plot and im getting about 1 inch groups now only put about 50 slugs through it but it seems a nice piece of kit its a bit heavy but ill get used to it one thing i was supprised with is the trigger its very light compared to other

  7. what would you buy a lightning or a walnut tx200 hc the reason im asking is my local firearms dealer has a new tx 200 hc for £365 any good ?

  9. cheers lads for your input as for my scope i already have this but as you know us blokes always think bigger is better so i bought em i wish i had just got smaller ones now as these have caused loads of problems on my old mercury hanse the new rifle i allready have a set of high one piece hawke pro mounts cheers mal

  11. as regards to the scoope i read in some reveiws today that scopes maybe a problem on a lightning and i really dont know all im going by is the reveiw on bbs and the reveiw started off really praising this rifle then by the end it was been slated so im abit confused cheers mal
  12. hi guys im looking at a new bsa lightning for vermin control over my allotment mainly rats now please bare with me i have never shot a lightning before and 1 im a left hander will i be able to use it ie is an ambi type stock 2 and if not what else would you recomend in the same price bracket 3 i have a set of tasco 3-9-56 scopes am i right in thinking these wont fit ? ie not enough room to cock it 4 which version of lightning would you recomend for my situation 5 and last of all if you where going to spend a max of 300 quid what would you buy new please as it

  16. hi guys been a bit quiet around the trap the last couple of days however today i got another pair i got one this morning and i shoved it with the callbird as i saw its mate hanging about and i reset the trap and this afternoon i got its mate so im going down there now to dispatch them and reset the trap cheers mal

  19. not as yet but i can take some tomorrow but basically its just a two large chinchilla cages put together and a large coil spring attached to one door and a split perch as the trigger im supprised its working so good as it is side opening and not top but i have raised it off the floor on a platform but hey im not complaining its working a treat cheers mal

  21. hi guys just to keep you posted less than a week and i have have 6 magpies in the one larsen so far and it still got loads of activity around it i have kept 2 for call birds the rest have gone to maggie heaven pity they are vermin as they really are a beautful looking bird and pretty aggressive when you get them out of the trap lol they have a nasty beak on em lol . ps any one in cleveland area need a call bird you are more than welcome to one all you have to do is come get it cheers mal.

  23. cheers ditch for youre input mate there are about 40 pairs of maggies over our allotments always scrapping and causeing a fuss i have to be careful where i set the traps as im the only one sorting em out and alot of tree huggers on site so ill have to be covert in doing my bit to rid the place of a few more. and if i can trap some more id be more than happy to give em away to people round my way for there traps as you say a strange bird is always an advantage cheers mal
  24. hi guys i got given two big chinchilla cages a bit back about 4 foot by 3 by 3 and thaught maybe i can do some thing with em so i have been reading up on traps on here and i decided to make one into a larsen. lol nowt to do but put a spring on the door really anyhow i found some old trampolene springs on our dump on the allotments so fixed one on to the door and cut a foot long piece of brush handle for the split perch and wedged the door open . i went into the shed and got a couple of hens eggs and put them in a madeup nest and broke one just out side the door i came home for my tea an
