  2. if you was told its a 2nd x he will be 1/4 deerhound 3/4 greyhound. the dam would have been a 1st x and the sire a greyhound. hope this helps and good luck with your pup a 2nd x is not the above. a 2nd x is a 1st x mated to another 1st x.
  3. Which bitch of loftys? is it hidi? seen her run and is cracking?
  4. Did you put him over a pure bull bitch then to produce the dam? is there any greyhoubd in the breeding. cheers,
  5. them pups look in great condition. put up a picture of the bitch. how old is the sire, does he still work?
  6. i would go for a good coursing bred saluki lurcher. they are great on the long ears, and are far from one trick ponys. mine courses, ferrets, lamps, hunts up in the dales and are pretty handy dogs in general. if you go for a bitch it might keep the size down a tad.
  7. wow...that was a bit too deep for me

  9. half of them wolves looked dropped.
  10. I use a product called zambuck...Its the best stuff ive used on cuts to stop infection, but if you've been to the vets your dogs will be on antibiotics so wont need anything if its kept clean.

  18. some of it depends on the dog and what it preferes. My old dog has had a hard life and is feeling the effects of a few hard seasons, and when a hare gets up more escape than get caught(bearing in mind he is a well bred hare dog). but if he stumbles across a deer he runs like a pup and not many get away(he pulled his last 12 out of 12 runs). Though he will be stiff afterwards! On the other hand i've seen good hare dogs(regular 3 out of 3) that dont catch many deer.....they are fast enough but its the pulling thats the hard part....to hit a 50/60lb deer a 30 mph takes some balls. Most are caught
  19. Both my jills had kits this week and all seem to be doing well. all work rat and rabbit so ive got high expectations for the young next season. when they get a bit bigger i will stick some pictures up. cheers.
  20. Either a lot of people on here either dont run a lot of foxs and are just making it up, or they are cruel b*****ds that like to see an animal suffer. Most foxes are that are bolted or caught on the lamp are caught with in 100 yards of you, which means you are at the seen in about 20/30 seconds. most are still alive at this point, thought probally not putting up much of a fight as most dogs have them by the throat. I always end it if its still alive. Sometimes they are dead on arival but 50% of the time they are not, and thats not just my dogs. some foxes just dont wanna die, even with an poun
  21. When the season starts and there working hard, try adding cider viniger to there meal..stops them cramping and is also an anti-oxident, so im led to believe.
  22.
