  1. If your working warrens that's larger than 8/10 holes then in my experience one ferret won't be enough to shift them. My method is to get the ferrets in and get the rabbits out. You might end up with a bit more digging if the ferrets trap a rabbit between them but it's a quicker way of ferreting land with many warrens.

  3. There is no need in my opinion but some think there dog needs it. Its not just rabbits that get dropped either.

I dont own terriers so just reading out of interest really....but i think what someone is try to say is that if you release a fox froma dig then you have broken the law(hunting act)....just remember its a watched forem and infuture in any are released then its an accident and they slipped past you as you tried to take the shot
  7. Most dogs will work day and night, but its most probally the owners who have the preference, not the dogs. Odvioslly if the dog is doing one thing a lot more often than than the other then it will pick that up quicker. A lot of coursing lads i know dont even own a lamp so there dogs are solely daytime, even though they would proballly make good lamping dogs given the chance. The reason some dont lamp is because of the greater risk of injury at night. (in my dogs 75% of accidents have happened at night) and many dont want to risk missing a days coursing because it took a knock a few nights pre

  10. most flesh wounds will heal on there own if kept clean with salt water, but sometimes when they get bit on the leg they can get an infection in the bone which can be serious and needs antibiotics.

  15. i heard another sick story last night...some well known coursing lads got chased by the police and managed to loose them....with that they set fire to the car to burn all the evidence....including the dogs in the boot!! its was only last week i think.

  18. my 2 heat lamps are175watt low energy, equivalent to 250 watts each and cost about 3 pence an hour to run for both.
  19. The bitch is called cas. Red is a saluki lurcher but looks more like a greyhound than saluki. He was one of the millennium six as they call them.
  20. He looks a totally different dog! It shows you what's really under that coat. The pup I'm getting is out of my mates bitch which is out of lucky, and the sire he used is dickinsons red. Should be good fast dogs hopefully.

How old are they mate? only when he was a pup i wil have a look and yes mate barney grandfather on sire side and benji is grandfather on the dams side Good luck with them mate.
