    Still got 2 tubs of potatoes to empty out but i have been lifting them as we needed them The courgette's are going crazy got normal ones and ball shaped yellow one Then just sitting back till the last minute to lift the marrows and pumpkins The corn on the cob was doing well then something ate all the tassels off some cobs so i dont think they will get any bigger whether it was earwigs or slugs i dont know i never saw a slug on them but there always covered in earwigs at night

    Think i would of cover her with a snipped hob your going to lose the use of the jill for 3 months and the kitts might just see a bit as the season finishes

    Aye mine are in tubs i give them a shake but i didn't have any real big well pollinated cobs last year so i would like to give them every chance

    All my collars are the same colour its the sender units that are different colours so unless they lift there heads when there out even different coloured tape on the collars dont really help. Far handier saying that silver , sandy's no shown for a while better try having a look with the box

    My corn on the cob has the pollen and kernels now every time i pass it i try to hand pollinate the kernels , Is it worth doing or a waste of time last year i only got tiny cobs

    When working a really big or deep place with double number ferrets in i find it handy to have different coloured ferrets so you can see who is showing at the holes and you know if one hasn't shown for a bit without walking all over the burrow . Once we tried marking albinos with different felt pens between the shoulder blades after 5 minutes in the box they came out all the colours of the rainbow and we couldn't tell them apart LOL , That's the only reason i would try to breed silvers as you can get a colour range from light sivers to nearly polecat markings

    I used to run my hob with 6 jills all year and there was never a problem as he was snipped but with just one jill he might hurt it or cut it so maybe your 3 will be okay with have to keep taking him out

    I took the easy option and made mine out of ply sheets they come in 8 foot by 4 foot so that's the size i made it so there was less work cutting it only bad point is at 4 foot deep i need to use a hoe to clean it out as i cant reach the shavings using my small shovel , Other thing i would do is put it on legs stops vermin hiding under it and lets the air flow under it

    I feed all on tubs on a Sunday i am thinking one more feed then come September only water them if its dry stop the feeding ?. And also thinking cutting back a few of the leaves on the courgettes , pumpkin's and squashes try to help the fruits ripen the tomatoes in the greenhouse are nearly bare as i stripe the lower leaves to help ripen the fruit but the slugs got to the melon plants in the green house even with slug pellets down so there a washout

    I go out with a lamp every night and get 100s of slugs in the veggies and the amount of earwigs are crazy there's not one geranium not got holes in there leaves and the lilies had loads of lily beetles This year i am giving the pumpkins etc 2 gallon of water a day and feeding weekly and i might just get decent pumpkins this year
