  6. very nice looking bitch looks a lot like the picture of a dog i saw Chubasco Boomerang ...looks the bizness shame about losing the pups mind .... im only letting a couple of people i can trust have puppies mind i aint doing this a business venture i aint like that so im just looking for the best dog possible for this bitch i have
  7. Chubasco bred Saluki,s have recently been imported into the country, but youve no chance of using one are they a working strain miles ? do you know much about them mate , i know there smooth and theres a kennel in belgium or hollan with a black and tan one , it looks the business
  8. im not really into the show side mate , couldnt care if the dog looks like a poodle but is a good worker or from good working stock
  9. i probably could take the bitch to the dog might be easier , but europe woukd be easier than the UAE ....is there any kennels in europe that keep Desert bred dogs ? ive also heard about a line from USA Chubasco salukis apparantly fastest line in USA and all are worked but im not positive on this
  10. This is why you need the good contacts and be dealing with people you well enough that they would help you out in that way, of course you need to pay for the dogs keep during that time. I were to bring a dog in from Kazakhstan I would be looking at the best part of £3000 for flights, paperwork, quarantine etc. Quarantine laws are totally over the top, saying apparently in Ireland you can now quarantine your animal at your home if you follow goverment guidelines. £3000 is a lot for just one dog , but suppose it would earn that back in stud fees eventually as alot of folk would
  11. Meerilhunter one prob with importing a puppy is that they be 9 or 10 months old before you get it back unless you buy an older dog/bitch to breed from ? not many folk would sell a pup for a few hundred quid then keep it till 9 months old for you
  12. its hard to import a dog now and it also be difficult to get a one from good working stock , how the feck do you trust a total stranger from another country thsat prob dont give a feck about coursing anyway
  13. I used to sell these new and to be honest there was only a couple of miles to the gallon difference between petrol and the diesel? 3.0V6 Auto about 22 mpg, 2.8TD Auto about 25 mpg. But you pay about per litre more for diesel, and you will pay more for a TD vehicle, so in real terms you would have to do a lot of miles in the TD to make up the purchase price and fuel price difference? thats what i was thinking to be honest plus the petrol will be a bit nippier aswell , how much roughly do the ball joints cost to replace ?
  14. Miles do you know of the saluki dog supposodly off imported stock thats in shap near penrith ( was Paul. S dog at one point ? )
  15. Firstly, Toby is not a pure bred , doesn't detract from the dog in any way , but if its pures your after Khan has desert blood in him, from his sire is out of "Farha tepe gawra", son of the legendary "Durak". John Lennons stuff is all Kizzy and Pharo stuff and heavily inbred,so your right to go for a desert type out-cross. When Vance used Farha over his bitch (smooth desert bred to kizzy stuff, which is what your looking to do), the litter was outstanding. One of the bitches was runner up in the Forley.......... and Vances bitch was better. The "Kizzy" stuff is very fast but
  16. what are these 4X4 for using , and mechanically wise like any common problems with engine , gearbox etc...?
  17. do you? what breeding? yep shes 5yrs old , shes off john lennons stuff , she ran in the forley cup aged about 16months old
  18. just say i had a pure saluki bitch to breed from and i wanted to use an imported dog ....is there any imported dogs in the UK or are there any other working salukis here other than Khan Jihad and Toby respectivley cheers
  19. i reckon its well past 12month old for a heavy saluki bred coursing dog before they start to get full speed , especially if they quite big , but some dogs mature faster than others
  20. Sadly today Gary Caulfields 'JOE' died this morning aged 16 years old for those who dont know he was a well known coursing dog who was also a successful stud dog who lined well over 100 bitches
