  1. I like 2-3 holed warrens, they arn't as hectic and you can pay more attention to each hole so you dont miss a rabbit. Less in them though...
  2. Well at least it isnt another version of the starwars kid...
  3. I LIKE TO TYPE BY THE LIGHT OF THE CAPS LOCK LED TOO Just because a ferret is small doesnt mean it is any less fit that a larger one, yeah it might get knocked about a bit, but that doesnt mean it has less stamina. I mean look at Lisa Riley, shes bigger than me but I bet I could run further
  4. Got a big tough buck out of a hole on sunday, thought I'd pulled it but 10 mins later it got up and ran off. This way I can be sure it doesnt happen again.
  5. Tonight I made a priest after not quite killing - and losing a rabbit on sunday. It is made from a peice of stairway banister strut, which I drilled a hole in the top of, and poured molten lead inside. I also stained it for weatherproofing.
  6. Just made myself a Priest from a section of pine banister strut, with a hole drilled into the top and some lead melted in. Will probably die of lead poisoning in a few years, but i think it will do the job nicely. Just got to stain it and it will be grand Cheers Victor.
  7. I'd like to see that when more than one comes out, if your not getting the neck pulling right, I'd suggest you both get yourself a priest Are preists specially trained to kill bunnies then? Lol, just kidding. Lump of iron pipe will do the same job maybe?
  8. They are weird things... its never happened to me before now.
  9. Went out to a small warren close by this afternoon. Weather was absolutly awful, and I didnt exactly have permission, so had to keep looking over my shoulder all the time - but I was determined. When I arived I netted the ten most likely holes (all the nets i have unfortunatly...) and entered my albino hob. It was his first time, but went straight down the hole. Waited about ten minutes, but didnt know what was going on underground at all or where he was as I dont have a locator, and couldn't hear any of the usual thumping for the wind. I sat down on the banking, and waited some more. When I n

  13. how come every post i put up or read about ferrets you think your gods gift you all ways have to put some smart sarcastic anser just because your a moderater does not make you it What did you expect us to say? Of course if a ferret kills another ferret it will probably do it again... unless you take it away from other ferrets. And not trying to suck up or anything, lol, but just because hes a moderator doesnt mean he isnt entitled to an opinion. Use your brain genius.
  14. Shouldn't have left it unsoupervised then should you ...
  15. Where do you get your day olds from?
  16. Because theres no chance of him hitting the dog that way...
  17. Your definition of a true hunter differs from mine. I see a true hunter as a man who makes his own weapons/equipment without relying on civilisation to help him. Locator collars are a very recent thing in comparison to how long man has been using domesticated ferrets to catch rabbits. Line ferrets were used frequently before locators came along, and were seen as better than sending a ferret down a hole alone. If someone wants to use old methods, I say let them, if they want to put a slightly higher risk on their ferret than with a collar to get away from technology then so be it.
  18. think il give it a miss in that case!
  19. Hey, looking for my first air rifle. Dont want anything fancy, just something old and unused but working. Will pay up to £100 depending on how what it is. By post only. Cheers
