  1. I'd have thought that if a rabbit managed to get away once by bolting then it will have learned that it is the best way to escape and so be MORE inclined to bolt than other rabbits?
  2. Fur on. Does no harm and saves a hell of a lot of time when you have a big bag and have to gut each one indvidually as it is.
  3. Can i just ask, what is all this "ning" buisiness? Hope she pulls through pal.
  4. Do ferrets have free health care? I think not. No mate, they just have clowns like you making their decisions for them. As opposed to them choosing whether or not to go to the vets or not themselves? Are you for real? Nope, fake.

  8. Do ferrets have free health care? I think not. So just let the poor f***er suffer then. It says nowhere that the ferret is suffering. If it was off its food or inactive or whatever then yes, vets. Otherwise you can save a few bob on not letting a vet rip you off when its nothing serious.

  10. Why are you trying to irritate people in the first place? Grow up.
  11. If its not causing any harm then I wouldn't rush right to the vets. It may be a completely harmless cyst and you will have wasted a good 30/40 quid. If it grows in size or doesnt start to shrink after a length of time then you should probably get it checked out just to be safe. Depends how much you value your ferret tbh.
  12. 20 nets (10 of which are now near useless due to not drying them out properly after last season) 1 ferret (soon to be 2) Buck knife I like to travel light
  13. I've heard they bolt better at night, but what good is that if you cant see a rabbit hit the net haha? Might be worth looking into though. I suppose if you eat a lot of carrots
  14. If my ferrets could crew through chicken wire I wouldnt be surprised if they also donned big red capes and flew around saving the world every night after I'd gone to bed. BS mate
  15. took some reading that haha. Good bag well done
  16. Good job lads, How many ferrets you using?
  17. Went out for a quick session with afternoon with my big hob. Got to a nearby bit of permission around half twelve, and found the grass still a little too long for comfort and had a little bit of trouble finding a few of the holes, to the expense of my bag. First ran the ferret through a little 5 holer but nothing was home. Moved into the next feild and tried a 3 holer right in the middle. Both these warrens have never produced a single rabbit, but i like to try them first everytime I go there just because they're small and easy to net. Its always going to be the time I dont bother that th
  18. To be perfectly honest I wouldnt know what sand tastes like.
  19. One of my hobs recently died, leaving its brother on its own. I want to get another adult hob to replace it but without them killing each other. My current hob is an absolutely fantastic worker and it would be a right kick in the balls if he got killed by a replacement for the one which died. How readily will he accept another hob into its home and what would be the best way to introduce them? Ps. The hob is unaltered. Cheers, Coatesy900
  20. Two hobs I'd say. Less hassle in the long run with jills coming into season. If jills are kept nearby though, then the hobs are likely to fight in the breeding season so that may be an issue.
  21. Here in cumbria moles are mowdys (as in cow with an "m") anyone ever heard of a mowdy man?
  22. shop. You'll be lucky to find one second hand that hasnt already been torn.
  23. After a little extra research, it apppears the metal end of the stick has to be pressed into the ground and actually touching the pipe so that the sound of a high-pressure leak travels along the pipe, up the steel rod and to your ear. With that in mind, im not sure it would work as i cant see the ground carrying sound as well as a metal water pipe...
