  1. Firstly i should probably say hello, i haven't done any write ups on this part of the forum so far as i haven't had anything to write about...that is untill "bullmastiff" came to sunny Cornwall!! I hadn't met bull mastiff in person, although we have spoken many times on THL, but we hadnt actually managed to organise an outing. He came down last week and we had an awesome 2 days, lamping, surfing, BBq's ( he even stood up on his first wave!) both our mrs's got on really well which was a massive relief!!! hahaha :) so out we went with flash (my dog: alano espanol/old type neo) and ro
  2. sportmans gun center will send you lamp for around £20 1M candle power a wee bit chunky but hold a good beam etc, either plus into a cigarette lighter or rip the end off and wire direct to a motor bike / lamping battery which can be bought from your nearest mole valley farmers. i have a power pack, its heavy as f*ck but i keep it in a decent back pack and im a big lad so it doesn't bother me to much, the lamp plugs direct into the pack as there is a cig'y lighter on it, the pack also has 240v ( you can boil a kettle from the dam thing! a mini strip light handy for gutting and you can a
  3. what ammo mate? have you put a trigger kit in it yet?
  4. fair play and well done, we all miss mate, its part of the constant learning curve.
  5. As this is your first FAC it is unlikely you will be able to use anything bigger than .22 or .17 with out an "experienced centre fire user" so if you planing to go foxing on your own then really you need to be looking at the .17HMR I know several people that have .17HMR, and shoot fox out to 100 yards ( as above said) and rabbits out to about 120yards maybe 140, its an awesome flat shooting but pricey round. if you shoot with some one that has an open ticket and wont be tempted to go out on your own then go for a bigger caliber. peace fellow foxer.
  6. weel done mate time for a FAC me thinks!

  12. yep fair play deker i hear what your saying.....no one has to donate or do anything, its totally personal preference, massive perk of donating is that you can upload pics straight from your PC instead of messing around trying to re-size etc. i don't think people donate so they can have a badge do they??? are people really that sad? i seriously hope not!
  13. just had mine checked as i moved address, i did have "proper" bolts but i couldn't bolt it flush to the wall because of the skirting board. in other words it was flush at the top, and a 3/4 inch gap at the bottom and i wasn't sure if they were going to approve it. i explained to the office that it was a rented house cant go hacking up skirt bopards blah blah...he said as long as it doesn't move when i pull on it, its fine by me. :clapper:
  14. Might also be worth being a little humble and grateful for being able to turn up from nowhere and and advertise your wares on a respected and well established site! might also be worth keeping your opinion to yourself if you don't have anything constructive to say deker.... your a bit of a hunting life vigilante aren't you ! get over yourself ! talking of humble or gratefull....i don't see a donator sign by your name....if you are gratefull for using this site maybe you should support it by donating a little to the running costs etc....its only £5! the guy is organizing an event for
  15. Do you use it as it was intended, or leave it fixed at 5 or 6 I have it right up to 9 mate and leave it there.
  16. I've got one of these, their not too bad, you bite down on it to increase the pitch. To get a decent high pitch squeak out of it you've got to bite quite hard, so you've got to blow a lot harder to get the air through it. I find it works better 'wet' I always keep it in my Barbour just in case, so will bring it down with me on the 6th (don't worry I'll wash it lol) Cheers Luke. good stuff mate looking forward to it.
