  1. the lad not interested in coming out with you and the dog mate? i know 15 year that would do anything to go out lamping!
  2. Nanpean - nr St. Austell, tho im away alot with the army so its always hard finding time to get out anywhere im in probus mate. so we can always have a nights lamping if your keen.
  3. mikeyb and major1 coursing hares is illegal, 99.9% of us on here dont think it should be, but unforunately it is. there is just no point in stating that they should be saved for coursing and there is no sport in shooting them is totally pointless......becuase your in the shooting section so no one is going to agree with you. stating this sort of thing isnt going to help anyone, the antis have enough ammo as it is. lets hope the hunting ban is lifted for everyone's sakes.
  4. getting an FAC i fine ...but regardless of who you are your first FAC will almost defo come with restrictions on it. if you wanted something for rabbits then either .22LR (cheap and quiet) of 17HMR (fecking noisey a little more expensive but has more "grunt") both of these calibers can drop foxes, and most people on here will have shot both fox and rabbit with them, however getting fox on your ticket for these calibers can be difficult (although i did get them on my first application) the clasic foxing caliber of 22-250 for fox wold be a much better choice. However due it being your

  8. i would like this call to call foxes please! haha
  9. ricw is right about the condition for fox with .22lr as a general rule ........however i did get it! if you dont ask you dot get mate.
  10. good going mate well done. cant beat a little pan roasted pigeon.
  11. if you did get .243 granted you would have restrictions on it - probably not allowing you to use on your own....its a real pain in the arse mate! going for the .22LR at first as previously said is a good starter. when i first applied for my licence i got .308 approved but it has to be used woith an "experienced centr fire user" other wise known as anyone with an open FAC. ps: who is this monkeys banging on about lurchers? f*ck off mate, most of us have seen and done work with lurchers......i love dogs and especially lurchers, but what the f*ck are you going on about? foxes etc, again
  12. i prett sure it doesn'y get any easier than this link! http://www.dacre.net/moon/moonphase.html
  13. managed to get out with one of my mates last night for an hour or so, to give my new trooper a run and see how she goes off road, the rear door locks open so you can stand on the back with the bipod on the roof which is wicked , it was a bit of a slow start to be honest, we thought there would be a few charlies out as the fields have just been cut....but we didnt even see one! anyway it was a a good laugh, got a few bunnys for the ferrets etc.
  14. apparantly cajun or jamaican jerk squirell is supposed to be amazing!

  18. i know a guy who is a bit of a ballistics freak, and regulary shoots rabbits and fox at over 800 yards. he travels all round the country to meet up with other long range nutters! one of my mates took his mrs out with him about 4 weeks ago, the first shot he "dialled" in for her was a rabbit at 525 yards! with an old parker hale .308, he does all his own re-loading etc, and is one scary dude! hahaha good guy to have around if there was ever a zombie invasion!
