i dont hink mixing raw meat with dry food is a good idea mate, they digest it at totally different rates.

a little while ago i had been out the the .22lr ad hwne going round and picking up the rabbits i found 2 within 6-12inches of eachother i knwo for a fact i didn't shoot 2 rabbits there so the only explanation is that one was behind that i couldnt see and the winnie super x got em both!? i have a friend who says he has 3 by pure luck once upon a time!!!
any one else experienced this?
yer no doubt it is a lot of effort....BUT i have eaten alot of rabbit over the years as im sure most of us have and it was hands down the best i have ever tasted! going lamping tonight to try and replicate it! will let you know how it goes.

so i think i have decided on one of these rifle many for these reason: budget being the main one really, i was going to go for a for 6.5 x 55 but i go to south africa to visit friends and i think .308 would be a much better caliber to travel there with.
does anyone own one of these rifle or know much about them? they are basicaly a remington right?

ok so i was in newquay after walking the dogs at fitsral the other night and me and the mrs we're starving, i had seen a little place called "butchers bistro" but hadn't been there as i avoid all the tossers / stag do's etc like the plague in summer, but now the season is over newquay is finally returning to chilled out cornish surf town once again! hoooray!
so off we trot to the restraunt, anyway they have rabbit on the menu as a starter and as a main dish, along with all sorts of other gamey stuff and loads of fresh fish dishes.
so we opted to try all 6 starters between us or "tapas
as for pigeon mate:
breast out a pigeon, chop the breasts and pan fry them in oil, garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce and a splash of whiskey!
then toast some pine nuts and have in a salad great as a starter!
