  1. Would like to know any views from people that own either of the above scopes? Have heard a lot of good things said about the Bushnells, not heard much about the Viper. Scope is for my .17hmr for bunnies. Seen the Bushnell in this country for £325 and the Viper for about £225. Big difference in quality? Thanks Luke
  2. Yeah HMR, do you think he would change the scope for me at a cost? Or is it soiled goods now? Whats the best scope for about 200 - 250?
  3. Hi all, Just got my first rifle last Sunday ( CZ .17 ) Thought I got a good package, but after reading a few posts have started to think that my scope could be better. BSA Sweet 17 AO 6-18 x 40 is my scope, I am only shooting bunnies and would like to eventually be confident at about 130 yards. Is this scope going to be good enough for the job? If not do you think the gun shop would exchange it if I stump up some more money? Any advice on a scope for the job would be appreciated ( around the £ 200 if poss ) Love the gun by the way, awesome bit of kit. Cheers L
  4. Fire one shot with the rifle on bags or in a clamp, then without moving the rifle, have one person look through the scope and the other adjust the scope so that the sight lines up smack on the first bullet hole. That is what I have been told, sounds to make sense, but not sure how easy it is to not move the rifle.
  5. Recently been told about the 'one shot' zero, is this a good idea for sighting in a new rifle? Or does it need a bit more effort than that?
  6. Hi Guys, Newbie here! Just purchased my first rifle ( CZ 452 .17 hmr). Thinking of using a shooting stick to steady myself for long range shots but been told that sticks can mess with the sights. Any views on this would be appreciated. What do you all use if anything to steady the rifle? Cheers
