  1. Dont know what its like up your end but iv had a lot of pike out the leeds to liverpool canal last couple of years, round chorley area. Only small upto about 8lb but plenty in the somer evenings. Dont really know merseyside but i head to the lake district for the best chance of a bigger fish.
  2. It was either on www.againstcorvidtraps.com or the hunt sabatuers asso. website on the vermin list, i spent a good hour reading through their stuff so cant be arsed getting any madder looking through it again!
  3. Havin worked in fieldsports most of my life im no strager to recieveing threatening phone calls, but looking through an anti website i saw they had sunk to new depths, they had given out the phone number of an old woman who had a larsen trap in her garden! They are telling people to phone her and tell her what they think of her activites. Now i dont agree with givin funny phone calls but if any one wants to give the league aganst cruel sports a call to comment on their activites their number is 07951 100303.
  4. My girlfriends a vet and she says iburofen pain killers are toxic to dogs, just a couple will cause renal failure. Some old dear had been givin her dog half because she had lost some anti-inflamatorys that the vet had given her. Paracetamol will do the same to cats.
  5. Micheal Jennings the boxer goes out lamping with a few local lads. He came jogging past us while we were hunting last month and asked if we wanted anymore beaters! By the time we realised it was him he had jogged on.
  6. Ive been catching moles since i was a kid but when i first decided to try to make a bit of a livin from pest control i went and bought 50 BIG CHEESE mole traps, it took me a week of frustration to work out why i couldnt catch moles. When i worked it out the whole lot went in a pond. NEVER EVER BUY BIG CHEESE MOLE TRAPS.
  7. Forget that watch ice truckers on channel five.
  8. Was goin to say a fox but some clever arse beat me to it. . Once hit a wire running into a milkin parlour but didnt cut it luckly, the fox ws in an old drain just under the wires.
  9. Im trying to trap a mole in a mossy lawn, cant get a good set in the soft ground. The runs are very wide so just thought a different trap might help, any ideas?
  10. Has anyone used these traps? how do they compare with my normal tunnels.
  11. I trap moles mainly in private gardens but with a few large farms as well. Iv always used tunnel traps with the odd scissor trap as well, but when looking on the trapmans web site iv seen a new scissor trap which they call a pro scissor trap. Its a bit longer and dosnt have the long arms for setting it, does anyone have experience with these traps? They also look pricey, £4.99, can i find them cheaper?
  12. you could buy a new one for £4.50 so dont spend money on it, its rusty but not antique. if you set it make sure its in a tunnel.
  13. Head to southwest scotland mate, but wait till the weather warms up a bit, june or july. You can also do plenty of game fishing up there as well. I fish some rock marks up there any have never had a bad day. Like i siad loads of other options if the weather turns bad. If you wait till summer i will act as a guide to anyone who wants a bit of help in that area.
  14. Yes i had a few evening meets with them on the exbury estate. bit far for me to travel now though, looking for something further up north.
  15. I KNOW [bANNED TEXT] ITS LIKE TO HAVE A GOOD DOG BUT NOWHERE YO USE HIM, FRUSTRATING! I WORK ON FARMS SO WILL KEEP MY EARS OPEN. IS HE BROKEN TO FERRET? AND DO YOU HAVE A FERRET SUTABLE FOR RATTING, THAT WOULD HELP IF I FOUND U A SPOT TO GO?
