ok thankyou, i suppose theres ways to remidy the scent if its a little week As kids we always used Borax from the chemist on fox pelts..but that was to soften them and make them pliable as well as cure them..which may defeat the object in what you are trying to achieve...ie retain some scent etc..it was'nt our aim though..fox pelts were stinking rammy..

Hehehehehehehehehehehehe!! You've got two right mate so far! it made my day to see Chelsea get f****d over in the premiership, now for next week to do it all again ..... I'm a bit on tender Hooks at the minute mate! its now a waiting game to see what comes out and what doesn't, I lost a Peregrine at pip due to Breaching, Hopefully I won't get any more like that but I can't count my chickens before they hatch so to speak. Just taped the rings on and put my young Harris's back! everything went smoothly just hoping on more of the same in the future with the rest. There'll be a good few

Im happy for you that your nets work well.As for calling the man an eegit well thats your own opinion.I have also met him and corresponded a cpl of times.Thats a bold claim you made ther.Pity the man is no longer alive to defend this remark.I always found him to be rather imformative.Oh and i aint stupid i do realise he was a writer and all writers like to dramatise there work.As for a computer hunter comment. Why are you on a computer giving advice? If people were to take your advice we should just ignore what you just wrote. While I would'nt call Plummer an eejit by any means..I have to

Hi Mate..this will be a good year...high percentage hatch of Goshawks in Norfolk...Man U will win the premier and champions league..and us poor Mackems have barely avoided relegation and live to fight another year in the premier league...just !!! All the best mate...
-
Spot on mate..sound advice..the most tamest of Jills prior to kits adopt a different frame of mind when a litter is born..almost semi wild and untrusting of anyone..anything..I agree mate leave well alone until things settle down and kits are out and bout..
-
I have had hemp nets last for years..still have a few but I now use spun nylon..but re the hemp..dont leave them in the bag wet..and at the end of the season I give mine a good rinse out in clean warm water and hang them until properly dry then fold and put them away..
-
It aint a young bird its in adult plumage..
-
Thats my sentiments to Sue..and the kits must have died of something..I assume the Jill did'nt kill them..so something is not quite right..
-
Hey Scuzy..I aint looking for another debate on the matter..but dont you think she may need checking out by a vet before breeding again mate..after all she has just had a litter which all died..she may have been lacking in something then which caused the kits to die..and if she was..that situation will only have worsened... all the best

How that Goshawk survived to adulthood is beyond me...relentless though it was...it is the worst footing I have ever seen..

hi there.. not to cause a fuss of anything... My ferrets are from good working lines.. and took MORE than their share of ribbons at the shows last year. We attended a show a week from May to September and i dont remember one time coming home with less than 1 first place or best in show. They also work damn well in the winter and we've a freezer full of rabbit to prove it. Working ferrets Can be show ferrets! All ferrets owned by women can multi task that is so true kay Lets face it most blokes cant even do 1 thing at a time let alone several I t

course it makes sense each is an individual matures at different rates you take the ones that show early promise nothing wrong with that,But it doesnt guarantee you kept the the best ferrets how many footballers who are signed in their early teens go on to make the grade 5% but they can all still play just at different levels. I've had top ferrets the ones i've got now are mediocre at best to say a ferret is a ferret at best shows ignorance & at worst down right deception & as the the show fraternity grow the ferret will go the same way as the pedigree terrier bred for coulor lenth of

Of course it makes sense Stubby..of the three Jills I have here only one has been mated...for the very reason you talk about..and I will keep two maybe three Jills from the offspring..and a pal will keep two hobs..the two other Jills as good workers as they are have been in with a vasectomised hob.. But that aint really the issue in this debate...and I will ask you a question and I would like an honest answer please..so here goes..God forbid it..but if you arrived home from work tomorrow to find all of your ferrets gone..no trace..where would you look to replace them ?? Now bearing in

Friedrice..you are entitled to your opinion..but if you think that mate you are sadly mistaken...I...and I know of several others who have bought plenty of ferret kits from all sorts of different lines over the years which turned out to be pure outright shite...and I am telling you now and I am 100% certain that working strains of ferret are better than show strains.. If you take your sport seriously...and I say this to Steffan to...and if you want to do well at it..get working lines...and even working lines will occasionally breed some not so good offspring..but you are significantly incr
