    Hi jok I didn't have any of them but tonight I'm going to have a sit down and order a few dry flies to add to my box. I'll get some of those ordered thank you. I'm thinking of giving the river aire a go on the fly, has anyone tried this? I've had my fair share from the Aire, but I'm not telling you where!!!!

    Firstly, if you're using dry fly you don't want ANY drag at all. Apply sinkant to the last couple of foot of leader. See what fly life there is about and try to copy it. At this time of year you might want to think about something chunky and yellow to replicate dung flies. or the jack of all trades, the black knat, tied thickly and with a white wing . Also, just check that the fish aren't feeding on emergers or buzzers. if they are then you won't catch on the dry. In fly fishing it's all about matching the hatch....good luck.

    It does seem a little odd. I can only presume that someone has forced their hand in some way in getting said traps on the 'list'.... but, if we are to take their words of: a spring trap is equivalent in all relevant respects to a spring trap of a type and make specified in the Schedule if it corresponds to the spring trap so specified in construction, in materials, in impact force or momentum, and in all other respects which are relevant to its effect or manner of operation as a trap Then I cannot see how Bridger, Duke and Bellisle of the 110 size can't be legal. They're all the same

    Thanks for that John, it was a very interesting read. I suppose that it might be taken then that Bridger, Duke and Bellisle could also be taken as being clones.

    Aye, pva bag with 3mm pellets. I use 10mm pellets on the hair, one or two depending on my mood. braided hooklength!

    Pellets soaking in the glug pot. I've had this glug on the go for 7 years now, just top it up with marine halibut oil every season......it proper stinks but the big barbel love it!

    a truly great fish , any barbel over 5lb fights like hell a few blanks are the norm but when you get one their never forgotten what river you on I travelled up to a little stretch of the Wharfe I know. Its rare I blank,In fact I cant remember the last time I blanked there. The barbel are good sizes and average over 7lb, so that's why I fish it. I also had a common carp from there a while ago that fought like a tiger!

    You really need to start part time mate IMO. Build it up, it might take four or five years before you can make enough to survive.I was speaking to a guy today who has been doing pest control for a couple of years now and he just doesn't make any money. He paid out alot of cash doing lots of courses thinking that will bring him the jobs in magically. It doesn;t work like that. IMO there's only two things that matter; #1 You're good at talking to people, gift of the gab. #2 You're good at catching pests fast and effectively. That's all you need, but both are essential for without them you
