  1. Well do something about it instead of moaning.....start you're own campaign and see how easy it is..... As long as the CA supports us in parliament who cares that they don't fill their magazine with terriers or lurchers? It is down to the CA that we can still legally hunt what we can hunt, but I don't hear anyone saying 'Thanks' to them for that? There's lots going on behind the scenes. I think Barrie summed it all up nicely.....
  2. I dont get that J... So people can complain if they have paid there subs?? They were protecting hunt terrier men at high profile hunts. The overall admednent is to push for more hounds and more reasons to be out hunting. It's still be the same argument CA don't publish or invest in lurcher work or terrier work to my knowledge.. Their Web page has information and links for everything but lurcher & terrier work. I've contacted them on multiple occasion and had no response.. I contacted them regarding their insurance and working with in the current laws.. They
  3. The way I look at it; If you're not in the CA then you have absolutely no right to complain about them. These threads serve no purpose at all. The CA IS on our side, of course it is. And I'm sure if someone wanted to send in an article about hunting rabbits or rats then they would publish it. Also, they support terrierwork, and, believe me, they are fighting to keep it. You have only got to look at the last amendment that was pulled due to the SNP backtracking. In that terrierwork had two amendments that would have helped all working terriermen out. That's right, terrierwork legislatio
  4. Too young. When it's time to use the fur dummy just let the pup carry it on the lead for a while IMO.

  6. I forget how many times I've said it, but food and retrieves should never be said in the same breath......
  7. It should be there tomorrow buddy...I've put a couple of other things in the package too....
  8. If a pellet hit the frontal breast bone it's not going to get through IMO. I would never recommend chest shots on woodies, I've seen far too many fly off. if a chest shot is to be under-taken I'd always recommend shooting off centre, to avoid that bony pellet-stopping ridge....

  18. There's not many rabbits where TJones lives....he gets in the motor and goes and finds them.......... :victory: I've a feeling that in the future the places where big bags are possible will be getting less and less.... enjoy them while they last...... Looking forward to the lamping season...not long now..
  19. just the rifle alone will be worth very little....what scope is on it?
  20. mr darcy what do you think is responsible for low rabbit numbers other than mximatotis ? there is a big bit of green on the main road owned by a garden centre by me now when I was a small boy there would be 20 odd rabbits on this land as you drove past now you are lucky to see one at all I think that it is a new disease, but more than that, I also think that the rabbit, across the UK (as the hare is) is going through a population decline. It is a mystery. Could it be environmental? Or perhaps related tot he shit that we're spraying on crops these days for higher yields? Or maybe a combina
  21. I don't think it's myxi we've got to worry about these days....it's something else that is flattening the bunnies. IMO
